I'm hoping for a kick ass, nail biting, 7 game series.
me too, I hope it's as memorable as 1947, 1952, 1955, 1956 which all went the distance and had 20 games decided by three runs or less.
Man that 47 series kept me glued to the radio all night.

As a Braves fan, the final three teams are not ideal.  I'm rooting for Freeman to get another ring though.
Meh. He's not a Brave anymore, so really don't care if he gets a ring.

Honestly, just glad the Mets and Phillies didn't make it.

too easy, poncier, and entirely predictable.

Pitcher lays a meatball over the plate; you have to knock it out of the park Wob.

    R.I.P. Fernando Valenzuela

I just saw the news. I'm saddened by his passing on a couple of levels. First, because he was young (younger than I would have guessed). Secondly, of course, because he was just such a darned fine pitcher. And lastly, because the first good sale I ever made as a book seller was at a book fair a good number of years ago. I don't recall the name of the book, but it was a mass market (i.e. "pocket book") biography of Valenzuela that was dual language English/Spanish (not the kids book about him). It must be fairly rare as I cannot even find a photo of the book. And I'm almost certain I saw him pitch against the Giants in Candlestick at least once.

R.I.P. Fernando Valenzuela, one of the greats.

Ooh, good one! I’ll look that up. This will be a great series! Dodgers are close to home but I think Yanks got it tho, bullpen plus Stanton, Soto, Judge. Those are some big dudes who crush it!
