He pitches too you know, cmon. He will pitch again in 25.

Ad revenue and selling out the stadium won't be hard.

So I thought the Dodgers were going into a negotiating year w their broadcasting but they already inked a deal and will have their own channel.  The revenue that they will make from that will be insane.

I was really hoping he resigned w the Halos.  I wonder how much over the Dodgers bid on him?
Also say goodbye to Trout.  He will be traded this year to philly.

Time to pick a new team I guess...
I know. But who knows for how long?

well, we can always hope the second TJ is unsuccessful.

those cocksuckers already sell out their stadium to their bandwagon fans.

stick with your halos...that's what a true fan would do.

I hate to say it, but they might as well (altho it doesn’t have to be philly. fuck, trade him up the road to the cocksuckers).

it would certainly fit their “let’s buy a championship” philosophy.

I know LA will make that money back in ad revenue but it will still be a bad contract and mess with luxury tax and whatever ramifications that has.
it’s being reported he will make $2M/yr for 10 years and then collect $680M.

    cocksuckers.

^^^^ if this is the case, the gutless commissioner needs to step in and say no. it would be a blatant circumvention of the intent of the luxury tax.

I saw a year-by-year breakdown of the contract in a twitter graphic and thought it was a parody account.

Its stupid but legal.  MLB's entire economic system is shit.  Nobody is in a hurry to fix anything or close loopholes (unless other large market teams' fans get mad at the Mets or Dodgers).

Hard cap and floor with structure that doesnt allow for the stupid deferred circumvention.

I agree that is stupid but, somehow, legal.

As Johnny said: Shady AS FUCK!

But, we all know MLB LOVE when a Super Star is in a Major Market. They love this system , and so does the MLBPA, and I don't see it changing in my Lifetime.
