Was stuck in an elevator at work for over an hour last night, missed most of the Yankees game lolol. Sounds like Boone made some rough choices, no Jazz or Rice, and took Fried out too soon.
May your days be long, til kingdom come.

he’s taking a lot of heat but, of course, hindsight is 20/20. I think he’s a bit of a dope but not necessarily why the Yanks are in their WS drought.

wow, what a huge challenge in the Cleveland game.  Got the out and took away the run.... and honestly the replay didnt look too conclusive

If Detroit were to lose a close game and lose again tomorrow, tigers fans will never forget it.

aside from Skubal and Ramirez, these are some pretty anonymous teams…and offensively challenged.

P.S. I know other guys but it’s not exactly Toronto, NY, Philly, LA, etc.

They later showed a very good replay, and it was the correct call.

Unbelievable Cleveland has the lead.  They couldnt even hit a ball into the outfield and the Tigers threatened to score in every inning.

No idea why Hinch took Greene out earlier.

Yea. Let’s not forget bases loaded with no one out in the bottom of the 9th. Inexcusable.

well, down two you need a hit. It’s not like a sac fly or squeeze bunt is gonna get you to extras. Guardians inability to get ramirez home yesterday was more inept.

The Indians are anemic but have Kwan Naylor and Rocchio.  Tigers have Greene, Torkelson and Diggler that I know can hit.  Both Torres and Bez have had new careers with a change of scenery.

Looks like Ed is at the Cubs game again. Not helping much as Manny just blasted a 2 run homer.

I didn’t realize the Pads used Mason Miller in the 7th. 104 mph in the seventh? Damn.

Couldn’t care fucking less about corporate Eddie.

Tribe pulled off the greatest comeback of all time in baseball, if Elias and the writer are to be trusted.

Cleveland was as many as 15 1/2 games behind Detroit for first place in the AL Central, as recently as the morning of July 9. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, that is the largest deficit a team has overcome to finish first in its division (since 1969) or league (pre-1969). The 1914 Braves (15 games back) previously held the record.

And while they had already clinched about an hour earlier, they finished it off with a three run walk off dinger in the 10th.
They have one of the best players in Baseball in a Jose Ramirez.  He gets zero love from anyone outside of Ohio.
He is great.  But it was all smoke and mirrors (and great managing).  Tribe batted 226 for the year and last in run scored as well.  Only team with a negative run differential to make the playoffs.

Kwan is very good too.  But like last year, it came down to timely bullpen work.
What makes the comeback even more improbable than even the largest GB deficit is the fact that the team isnt great, or at least the parts.

They lost a rotation pitcher and arguably the best closer to gambling.  They were a seller at the trade deadline.  Very little star power.

Things just came together at once.  The starters have an historic run going.  Bullpen has been great.  Bo Naylor is suddenly a dangerous hitter.  Vogt is a good manager and they have manufactured timely runs.  Ramirez and Kwan are star players who are overlooked due to market (although most baseball fans have been onto Jose for a couple years now).

I have no idea how this organization keeps finding good pitchers.

With all that said, the run isnt sustainable.  Winning a 3 game series that involves Skubal will be tough.  They arent going to start next season the way September has gone
Bo had a nice moment today
