  • ESPN just goes too far with the comedy.
Agreed, and I'm a Yankees fan. He's more one-dimensional than the floor.

And his swing is so stiff. But I'll take that swing in October lol.
He’s like a video game character when he’s healthy and locked in. I enjoy watching that Stanton when he comes around every 10 months.

It'll be interesting to see where Stanton winds up on the all-time list. The only guys not linked to steroids who are not in are Carlos Delgado and Adam Dunn.

Delgado hit 473 in 2,035 games and had a career average of .280 and an OPS of 929. Dunn hit 462 in 2001 games with a career batting average of .237 and a .854 OPS.

Stanton has 450 in 1,720 games and has a .258 career average with an .872 OPS and if he can hit like the way he is hitting this season in the next few seasons, that might make his case even more interesting.

This obviously doesn't include Miguel Cabrera and Albert Pujols, who are not retired five years as of now.

Mire likely to lose all of them, lol, but at least they have a shot vs the bloated Mets and their $200MM payroll advantage.

I'm not gonna sit here and say "I'm rooting for or against this team to make the playoffs" then watch the Phillies lose to them in the division series when some rando runs into a couple of Chris Sanchez changeups.

Jeff Kent should be in that convo too.  Dunn should not.  Delgado was a catcher before they moved him to the outfield.

    I get that
Reds would be big dogs against everyone.  I'd be happy for them to just win a game or two.

  • So  Judge or Big Dumper for MVP in the AL?
  • Choosing Raleigh over Judge feels like Barkley winning over Jordan in 1993. It’s cool to let someone else have a chance to win MVP, but Judge is more deserving by far IMO.

I thought that too until you look at the positions.

Take away Raleigh from the every day lineup and you will have a bat and a game caller taken away.

Take away Judge and you just remove a bat.  His fielding is pretty goo too.
