Looks like plenty of empty seats in Atlanta. That's just pathetic. It's the playoffs, if you won't show up now when will you.

Atlanta fans are brutal. How do you not sell out a playoff game?!?

Not a surprise they have the worst fan base around.

Yeah, man. Love that there is a whole section titled "The Disastrous Tenure of Commissioner Selig."

I can't even talk about Chicago baseball. The white sox depressed me so much this season.....even the Cubs had a better record than the Sox. :fp:

I know the Braves are always in the playoffs, but just the aspect of being able to walk up to the box office on the day of a playoff game and buying a ticket for face value is mind-boggling.

    This is nuts
Which — now that I think about it — could be A-Rod’s plan. Well, his plan in addition to simply excoriating Bud Selig and Major League Baseball in as loud a voice as possible. The plan is this: Force his union representation to take a stand against him. That, in turn, blows up the arbitration which cannot go on if the union and league are now on the same side of a critical issue. With the arbitration in limbo, A-Rod and MLB are back to square one, A-Rod is eligible to play and there is no basis for denying him his paychecks. If such a thing were to happen, MLB may not want to proceed with a new arbitration. It may try to reach out to make a deal.

  • I'm a Mattingly fan but he totally over managed in that seventh inning. There's no way he should have intentionally walked Reed Johnson who hadn't had a hit since July. You could predict that Heyward was getting that hit when that walk happened.

Don't get me started on MLB decisions... We have had Tigers playoff tickets for the past three years. 2011 and 2012 we had to pay for 4 World Series games even though NL was the home team those years (we get refunded for unused games, but still I don't need to be giving interest free loans to millionaires)! Apparently, they can't give us times for division series games more than three days in advance. Day games during the week, some people need to plan to take off work (now, I can't go to Mondays game - to be fair partly due to the fact I'm already taking Th/F off to go see PJ :D , but still...). Last year, in the ALCS, they never even started a game due to rain and it didn't start raining until after midnight. Another day I had to miss from work. Very aggravating - in what should be an exciting time for the fans. And what's with starting WS games way past 8:00.... :fp:

Thanks for reading my rant! Go Tigers!

that is a lot of bullshit in that experience

especially since they know from July that Detroit will not have 4 home play-games after the All-Star Game, but they hold on to your cash until, what November?

We'll be lucky to get any money back before December or January. They also give us the option to put it towards next year's season tickets! :lolno:

Great to see Verlander throwing great stuff ... It must be frustrating for him the last month or so, good sign for the Tigers though. Bottom line the tigers just aren't hitting.

Yeah, JV has looked good his past few starts, unfortunately either the bats or the bullpen usually lets him down. I think Miguel is hurt a lot worse than they are letting on, but with all those bats in the line-up, they should still be scoring more - 3 runs total in their last three games is pathetic.

When they last played Oakland in the regular season, the A's kicked the Tigers' asses, so I guess a split is ok.
