I remember about a month or two ago people on this thread saying the AL was so much better than the NL. I told you all that the Nats, Braves, and Reds were for real ;)

I like the show. Is it just me or when Ramirez was talking to Reyes about the trade did they seem to be making fun of Randy Choate? I think Ramirez said somethin glike "they wouldn't make the deal without Choate"...and then Ryes said something like "who...the lefty submariner guy"?

I watched the first couple of episodes. It was pretty good, butfor obvious reasons, I'm pretty sick of Ozzie Guillen. Defintely very well done by MLB productions/Showtime. Like you said, it's pretty obvious why that team was a complete disaster. I never realized what a clown Hanley Ramirez is.

if the NL wildcard stays the same, I'd say 99% of the country will be rooting for 81's Bucs (sorry, SVRD)

    fuck sid bream.

not sure how anybody could not root for the 2012 buc's. they are a fun team to watch (when the make a broadcast). i just really hope that they can over take the reds or if they have to go wild card route, they win that game. i'd hate this season to end in a single playoff game loss.

It's cool, I'm used to people hating on the Braves (at least until like 2000 ). I still think the Braves will pass the Nats though anyway .

Yeah, I agree with all of this.

I posted this in phils thread too, but it's so funny I feel like I need to share it with everyone. 42 second mark. Most overrated player of all time...he stinks.

  • Went down to Baltimore last night and saw Manny Machado's debut. The crowd was definitely into it though the Orioles lost 8-2. Machado had two hits, a nice play in the field and scored a run. It's an interesting move to promote him so young from Double-A, my guess is trying to get the same impact as Bryce Harper. One certainty is that defensively he's an upgrade from Wilson Betemit.

How awesome is that? Just posted it in their thread a little while ago. I don't know what my favorite part is. That this season is such a disaster, that Bobby V is terrible and it obviously didn't work out because he is a tool or that Pedroia is such a douche bag.

I was reading that the Phils, if they can't get Bourn, would go after him. Thank fuckin' God that's not happening now. I don't want either of them, actually, but I'm sure somewhere Mike Bourn's ears are burning with even louder 'ka-ching' sounds.

Yeah, definitely. Bourn is going to get paid way too much, but that about does it for Mekly. What is he going to get now? I can't see more than a year or two, especially since his only real good year is this year, so it's not even like he can fall back on historical stats. Should be interesting.
