this is why i hate that tbs does postseason games for, idiot nba announcers. i bet darling was thinking to himself "man whata idiot this nba guy is". honestly if it wasn't for darling broadcasting this game i'd have it on mute.

Hate to disagree with you guys, I think Darling is bringing nothing to this broadcast. Just me though.

Paul O'Neill is the best yankees broadcaster on the YES network. i love when he does a game. he doesn't put any hype into a call or anything.

I love it when he does games, but there was a while when it seemed like he didnt give a fuck and had no interest in being there.

yes but that can be due to the fact he's got no chemistry with this nba/tbs broadcaster. the tbs brohadcaster is hogging all of the calls, much different then when darling works on sny. just my take on it being a bit of bias person.

I was actually thinking about that. It can't be easy working with Ernie Johnson who has zero experience.

it's gotta be hard for him to just get on air and call mlb games one month outta the year. im not knocking Ernie in anyway but tbs shoulda put the studio crew in the booth with darling.

Ernie did play-by-play for a few Atlanta games this year and it was pretty rough listening to him.

I wonder why TBS replaced Chip Caray with Johnson? Chip's not as good as his father or grandfather, but I think he does a pretty good job. Would much rather hear him call a game than Johnson.

And +1 to whoever said that any of the TBS crews are better than McCarver/Buck.....Buck is just horrible

That doesn't make any sense though. It's like Maddon doesn't want to win.

I know. Garza is pitching Game 3 in Texas. I think Maddon was thinking he would take Game 1, gamble with Game 2 (although Shields is better at the Trop then on the road and he has beaten Texas before so maybe not much of a gamble) and then close Texas out in Game 3 with Garza.

    That plan got scuttled yesterday.

And I think he was over-thinking it. He tinkered with his lineup and rotation. Washington just rolled out the team that got them there.
