Except the Wild Card IS the playoffs. Otherwise it would count in the regular season standings.
    Blah. Gimmick.
    Except it's not.
It is, but teams know it's their only shot into the playoffs so they throw everything but the kitchen sink to advance and throws off their rhythm for the the next round of playoffs when they get in.

I think the Royals are the only team with the current format to advance to the WS.
    SF Giants.
Current is 2012 and onward.  When they won it was a different set up.
It was 2014.  Both KC & SF were Wild Cards.
That's right!  Forgot they both were!  My bad.

Glad that they extended Bregman. Hope they can keep Springer & Correa.
Bregman is my favorite player besides Judge.  I love the way he plays and his cockiness.

When the halos bring up Maitan or Adell it will be one of those two.
You like Judge more than Trout?

I like Bregman a lot too.  Astros won't be able to keep all of them, but I like keeping Bregman at that contract a lot.  Astros will adapt if they do. They are a smart org.

2014 they beat the pirates in the play in game and won the WS.

A few of my favorite non-Cubs (no particular order):
Posey, Lindor, Betts, Judge, Arenado, Harper, Trout, Altuve, Springer, McCutchen, deGrom, Puig, et al.

I should have been more specific, lol, sorry.  I love Trout but so does everyone else.  I watched Judge's minor league career so I have interest in him.

Other players I like watching are Betts, Trea Turner, Chris Sale, Scherzer, Nimmo, Puig, Lindor, Altuve, DeGrom to name a few.

Bradley Jr is exciting to watch when he plays too.

Nice to see more Puig love.  Dude gets a lot of hate.  I'll get to see more of him this season now that he's in the Central.

I used to listen to Colin Cowherd a bunch and he was the first person I knew in baseball to describe him.  From that day on I was interested in him and love his style of play.  He loves the game.  People don't like his antics and I get that but the kids are playing on your lawn now so they'd better get used to it, lol!

I forgot to mention McCutchen.  I couldn't believe that the Pirates let go their most beloved player on the team.  He really should have retired with them.

When the pirates made the playoffs I was excited for the world to see him play but they didn't make it very far.

I'll be rooting for him too.  Upset the Yanks let him go.

I HATE JBJ. I think he stinks and this last year was a real kick in the nuts. Betts on the other hand is probably my favorite non-Yankee which is just horrible to say.  Given his comments on his contract though, perhaps he'll be one here in the not too distant future.  Lindor is awesome.  Love Puig.

He was soooo exciting to watch.  I'm a fan of small ball so he appealed to me.

His arm in right was amazing too!

If you can't find a reason to like Ichiro, you have to be one of those shapeshifting lizard people all the conspiracists talk about.  He is simply awesome! Think I'm gonna order me a shirsey.

Do yourself a favor and buy the Bluejays team set and hope you get the "rookie to be named later".  That will be a five hundred dollar card when it is revealed that it's Vlad Jr.
