imo, another example of the idiocy of baseball players.  I love the game but damn, there are some idiots playing.

Profar was hit twice in his first three at-bats, then committed the cardinal 
sin of stealing second base in the fourth inning while Texas was 
leading, 9-2. That enraged the Twins dugout, which felt stealing a base

countless unwritten rules. When Profar came up in the seventh inning 
against Addison Reed, the first two pitches buzzed inside before the 
third one nailed him. "I thought they were intentionally excessive," 
manager Jeff Banister told T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com. "They tried to dial
 him up three different times. There is a difference on what they are 
focused on and what we are focused on." Banister defended the stolen 
base, saying it happened in the fourth inning when there was a lot of 
baseball still left to play.</div></div></div>

So.....dude gets hit the first two times up.  His team is up 9-2 in the 4th when he gets on base and steals 2b.  So the idiot Twins hit him the next time up as retaliation.

The Twins were the idiots behind the last example like this that I posted.  Are they the dumbest of the dumb? 

I never disliked the Twins before.  New feeling and I am OK with it.  I can be the anti-Wobbie and determine that I root against a large number of teams vs rooting for a large number of teams.

I have no problem with him stealing 2B in a 9-2 game when its ONLY the 4th inning. Twins are wrong, IMO, in this case.

The best part if how they ignore the fact that the beaned him 2x before that....so dumb.  Makes me laugh, but I am not the poor bastard that was beaned 3x.

Exactly. It's on the defense to get the outs, not the base runner or batter.

Plus, if I'd gotten hit twice already, I'd steal as many bases as possible as revenge.

BTW?  The closer (Kala) had to come in to get the save in the 9th.

9-6 final.  Tying run was at the plate with 2 outs in the 9th.

Twins = idiots.

and yet there are pitchers sometimes starters who hit a batter in retaliation with no warning from the umpires beforehand who get thrown out.

great game by the OSU P but he got a lot of help from blue. 2-2 rather than 3-1 is huge.

What a great series.  Arkansas choked out.  But a tremendous pitching performance by the freshman.  Kid threw 120 some pitches and gave up two hits...against aluminum bats.  That's pretty damn impressive.

I have not been a part of this thread, but I just want to gloat at my exceptional fortune in my dynasty fantasy baseball league: I picked up Soto on mere speculation a month and a half ago... and within two weeks... he's called up... and wow!
