The Boston Red Sox are playing very well much better than I ever expected.

Ahh, the Cubs.  One step forward, one & a half steps back.  They lost Fowler, Ross, & Hammel.  From 200 wins in 2 seasons to playing sub-.500 ball.

SHOULD. HAVE. TRADED. SCHWARBER. IN. THE. OFFSEASON. WHEN. HE. HAD. VALUE.  I said it in the off-season and my friends all thought I was nucking futs.

Apparently they want to go after Chris Archer.  We got rid of Samardzija once, we don't need another one.  I will NEVER understand why these guys are regarded as top-tier starting pitchers.

I'd think you were nuts too about Schwarber.  He was hitting like a beast then something happened to him and the whole damn team.

I just went to look at the Cubs' stats and they have 1, that's UNO,  batter that is hitting over. 300.

And yet they let Mr. .170 Triple-A lead off for 2 1/2 months.

Perfect time to trade him and get something out of it.  Contreras is the future behind the plate and Schwarber can't field worth a damn.  We knew Hammel wasn't coming back, this is probably gonna be Lackey's last year, and Arrieta hasn't gone past 5 innings since 2015.  Should've gotten an arm or two while the gettin' was good.

Least we didn't have to hear Chris Berman tonight for the homerun derby.  Judge was a beast.  so was Stanton.

  • I forgot to set the DVR and was at the twelve year olds baseball game.
Called my wife and asked her to record for me.
Got home and turned on....and apparently ESPN2 turned into ESPN Deported for the night.
Way better in Spanish than the fool Berman.

I was a big fan of last nights HR derby.

Bohr put on a show then without disappointing Judge took him down.  That one moon shot that didn't count was amazing.

Good thing they ended the stupid home-field advantage tie-in to the World Series or it would be another guaranteed year of AL home field with "Genius" Joe at the helm of the NL team.

    Jason Heyward would've had that.

    ....if he was an all-star.

I think marlins man got fed up with the second row and went home.

Yeah. On one hand I'm happy the NL tied it up. On the other hand, fuck Molina.
