Have to feel really terrible for Santana. He was a hell of a pitcher for a while.

Congrats, Verlander. You can now afford to buy the entire city of Detroit.

    I know, right? Silly money.

I have a feeling, down the line, this is going to come to a head where it's just not sustainable nor feasible anymore.

I thought the Astros payroll was $26 million....I was wrong. It's $19 million. :fp:

Whether they win or lose, I'll cheer them on like I always have. But this is going to be a tough year.

you never lift a perfect game.....unless there is an injury...

he's up to what 107 pitches? he stays in until the game is over, or a hit is surrendered. period

:fp: didnt the guy have elbow surgery or something? I think i'd prefer they try to preserve his arm, to some degree..

ps - ytoo bad for Darvish. That fucking blows.

like two years ago. last year they shut him down after 180 innings or so.

i think it depends on the person more than the pitch count. some pitchers can throw 120 no issue, some can barely throw 20
