That must mean those were the only years the Twins didn't make it
I was just going to say, the only thing they should contract is the three division format. Get rid of the central division in both leagues. It's a travesty that those teams get playoff spots for winning those crap divisions
i wish they would just get rid of them all together. while theyr'e at it, contract 2-3 other teams and make the league less watered down.
A's - great history but clearly not getting it done (on field or in stands) anymore
Nats - who cares that they just got going again?
O's - to punish peter angelos
Cubs - chicago's got another team, the ballpark is decrepit, they'll never win shit anyway
i'd hate to see the A's leave...and i would feel bad for their die hard fans. I was very impressed by the crowd when i was out there this summer for a game vs. the Marlins. They were really into.
but if i was going to dump 4 teams they would be
Marlins
Rays
Royals
Padres
i could be talked into ditching the Pirates as well.

Actually the Twins made it in 2003. They won Game One at Yankee Stadium with Johan Santana on the mound.

pathetic.
They are going to have to move somewhere. Clearly not a viable market.
After facing the annoying (by that I mean thorn-in-our-side good) Rays team the past two years I have come to the conclusion that the team deserves a vastly superior fan base. The fan support in Tampa is just embarrassing. Move them please.

It's easy. Without question get rid of the Marlins and Rays. Two shit sports towns who don't deserve baseball teams. How in the hell are the Marlins getting a new stadium. They draw 5,000 fans a game if that. Get rid of the two FL teams, then even out the leagues at 14 each with 2 - 7 team divisions. Still have the wild card with the best 2 non-division winning teams being your wild card.

Thats crazy. I think I've heard that before. Looks like he picked the right sport if he can't even stay healthy playing baseball.
