  • If anyone in the Kansas City area is interested in seeing Ray Lamontagne (backed by MMJ) on Sept 19, I may have 1 extra ticket available in the Orchestra 1 section. It's a great seat I bought through Ray's pre-sale. It's looking like the person I was suppose to go with is backing out. Face value of course.

That's one of the things I love about this band. They are not nearly as huge as they deserve to be so tickets are easy to be had. Enjoy the show!

Carl dropped off the Ray tour and cancelled his solo shows due to a health issue. I hope he's better soon.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

    Austin show

Ray LaMontagne’s performance scheduled for this Thursday, September 22nd at Bass Concert Hall has been cancelled due to concerns over The University of Texas’ recently enacted campus carry law, which allows licensed holders to carry concealed handguns in the venue during the performance.

Of the cancellation, Mr. LaMontagne says, “I consider myself to be a very open minded human being, and I always try and see things from another’s point of view. I realize this is a controversial issue and there are strong feelings on both sides of it. But no matter how hard I try to understand the rationale for allowing guns on campus or more broadly, the ‘concealed carry’ law in general, I just cannot in any way support that ideology.

There are a lot of things this country needs more of, but guns aren’t one of them.

Can we give Texas back to Mexico already? Or let it become it's own country? I wouldn't be upset (sorry, man, I know you're from there).
