Your guess is as good as mine. No clue on these prospects, Eller looks promising but neither is NHL ready, you'd think if this was GM public knowledge there would have been a decent offer (although he is an RFA).

    Oh well.
I was at the Bell Centre on Tuesday and the Kostitsyn and Price t-shirts were 66% off. I figured they knew something I didn't, so I bought a Price t-shirt. Bright side? I bought the right t-shirt ;)

Maybe we'll be able to afford Plekanec now.

Did this trade happen today, I didn't hear. I think they got rid of the wrong goalie.

Halak traded to the Blues for forwards Lars Eller and Ian Schultz.

    Horrible trade imo

I never liked Price...thought Halak would be their franchise goalie

No way they were trading either of those goalies in the Eastern Conference

Halak is eligible for restricted free agency this summer
his price will be way to high given his playoff performance

would have been nice to keep him, but price is a decent goaltender and the money they would have spent on Halak can be used to get one or two quality players

not a bad move given the salary cap

They also have to re-sign Plekanec, who'll be getting a significant raise.
