Well, it was Clinton's administration that wanted to loosen the rules to make home-ownership available to people who couldn't ultimately afford it. :? We saw how that affected the economy.

Well there is no reset button for a new president so he does have to deal with the baggage of crap left to him by the previous administration.

true but so has every president before him, to tell you the truth it's not a job I would like to do, have you noticed that every president looks like they have aged 10 years after their first 1 to 2 years in office ?

Well that's a gauranteed CHANGE we can count on with every president's first years in office. I said long ago Obama's hair will be completely white by the time he leaves office.

I wholeheartedly, and respectfully disagree, Godfather. Unless I am wrong, I get the sense you would rather us NEVER look backwards. But, if we never look backwards and evaluate the previous administrations, we will never learn from the mistakes of the previous administrations. So, I think it is vital for the progressions of our country, to continually look back to try and emulate the good, and avoid the bad, while trying to always make this country a better place to be and call home. It is not as though this countries slate is wiped clean when a new president takes over - so the entire process is a continuation from every previous president's administration. Knowing and analyzing the past is crucial to moving forward.

Everyone in our nation needs to stop taking sides, and all the other partisan nonsense and discuss issues and solutions and nothing more. We're too concerned about who the messenger is compared to the message or people rooting for their side like it's a sporting event.

i don't complain about bush. just the idiots who voted for him a second time, and now spend their every waking moment revelling in how fucked up the country is because we have a new President all of a sudden.

their is no difference Politics is just like WWF! Sad but true! It's an Illusion that we have a choice to make us think we live in a democracy! We just vote the other person out! But the agenda continues Obama just proved to all you Dems and libs honestly there is no difference. Just one example Obama re-signed the Patriot Act!!
I think there are few politicians out there who want to help but not many. I will vote for Ron Paul again.

past history is what guides us into the future, the best tool we have to move forward onto the future.
but it is abused and over used to a point.in corporate business they use tool's to improve productivity
and profit one of those is called "root cause Analisess"(spelling ?) what happened what changed and why did it happen
but MOST OF ALL how can we fix it ? this is my point, that's all.

some one sent me this, do the stats seem accurate ? if so lets break out the fish bone chart and fix it.

    Godfather.

A recent "Investor's Business Daily" article provided very interesting
statistics from a survey by the United Nations International Health
    Organization.

Percentage of men and women who survived a cancer five years after
    diagnosis:
    U.S. 65%
    England 46%
    Canada 42%

Percentage of patients diagnosed with diabetes who received treatment
    within six months:
    U.S. 93%
    England 15%
    Canada 43%

Percentage of seniors needing hip replacement who received it within six
    months:
    U.S. 90%
    England 15%
    Canada 43%

Percentage referred to a medical specialist who see one within one month:
    U.S. 77%
    England 40%
    Canada 43%

Number of MRI scanners (a prime diagnostic tool) per million people:
    U.S. 71
    England 14
    Canada 18

Percentage of seniors (65+), with low income, who say they are in
    "excellent health":
    U.S. 12%
    England 2%
    Canada 6%

I don't know about you, but I don't want "Universal Healthcare" comparable
    to England or Canada .

VERY INTERESTING! the percentage of each past president's cabinet who had
worked in the private business sector prior to their appointme nt to the
    cabinet.

You know what the private business sector is... a real life business,
    not a government job.

    Here are the percentages.

    And the winner is..............Obama.................
    8% !!!

    Yep! That's right! Only Eight
Percent!!!..the least by far of the last 19
    presidents!! And these people are
trying to tell our big corporations how
to run their business? They know what's
    best for GM...Chrysler... Wall
    Street... and you and me?

How can the president of a major
nation and society...the one with the
    most successful economic system in
world history... stand and talk about
business when he's never worked for
one?.. or about jobs when he has never
    really had one??!
And neither has 92% of his senior staff
    and closest advisers..! They've
spent most of their time in academia,
    government and/or non-profit
    jobs....or as "community organizers"

    England 40%

    T. Roosevelt........ 38%
    Taft...................... 40%
    Wilson ................. 52%
    Harding.................49%
    Coolidge.............. 48%
    Hoover............ ..... 42%
    F. Roosevelt......... 50%
    Truman.......... ....... 50%
    Eisenhower........... 57%
    Kennedy.............. 30%
    Johnson................ 47%
    Nixon.................... 53%
    Ford..................... 42%
    Carter................... 32%
    Reagan................. 56%
    GH Bush...... ........ 51%
    Clinton ................. 39%
    GW Bush............. 55%

    And the winner is..............Obama.................
    8% !!!

    Yep! That's right! Only Eight
Percent!!!..the least by far of the last 19
    presidents!! And these people are
trying to tell our big corporations how
to run their business? They know what's
    best for GM...Chrysler... Wall
    Street... and you and me?

How can the president of a major
nation and society...the one with the
    most successful economic system in
world history... stand and talk about
business when he's never worked for
one?.. or about jobs when he has never
    really had one??!
And neither has 92% of his senior staff
    and closest advisers..! They've
spent most of their time in academia,
    government and/or non-profit
    jobs....or as "community organizers"

and yet we are ranked #37 by the World Health Organization....behind all those other countries

Maybe the WHO is in on it. You know......to complete a total socialistic poverty style world to lead us into the New World Order. Just a thought.

yeah like I would really want the CEO's of GM to be running the country.....

the ebay lady is running for governor right? we will see how well she does if she wins but I suspect that running a state government will be much more challenging with far less results or money made.

to those saying we should stop talking about the bush administration because it is in the past i have this to say to you. bush and cheney changed the presidency, possibly forever. bush took us to 2 undeclared wars, which is illegal under the constitution, implemented more signing statements than any president in history, oversaw the loss of a record surplus and turned it into record deficits, implemented the patriot act, the single biggest infringement on civil liberties in the history of the country, cut taxes for his cronies, oversaw the closing of american factories and saw the manufacturing sector move overseas, cheney was making backroom deals dividing up iraq's oil fields before the war started, bush strongarmed other countries to go to war with us and told them "they are with us or they are against us", bush tried to appoint his friend and former lawyer harriet meyers to the supreme court when she was unqualified, brownie was in charge of fema when he was unqualified, cheny had the name of a covert cia operative who was in charge of tracking loose nukes printed in the press and libby took the fall for it, bush and cheney had the entire country so preoccupied with fear of being attacked again they were free to do whatever they wanted to do..etc, etc, etc,

my point is, What is past is prologue, and those that do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it...

what new president in their right mind would give up some of these powers that bush and cheney created? probably none, since precedent was established by bush...

I think it can all be traced to Karl Rove. He was such a disastrous element to the GOP.

As much as we would like to think running a government is a business, I'm not sure it is.

i don't complain about bush. just the idiots who voted for him a second time, and now spend their every waking moment revelling in how fucked up the country is because we have a new President all of a sudden.

    oh.

and stupid rednecks. i'm not overly keen on them either.

someday you'll understand but for you it seems a long way off.

    Godfather.
    i understand just fine.

jeez. what's the matter with you? is this what you've become, some Hollywood finnochio that cries like a woman?

So... what you are saying is that you do not believe in responsibility? Or accountability, either?
In case of hit and run... the damage is done... get over it, right? You should quit complaining about who is responsible for the damage done to the car... or the bodily injuries incurred by it and just get it fixed.
I always thought that personal responsibility was a cornerstone of Conservatism... I guess doesn't apply to you, right? I mean, that's what you're saying, isn't it? There is no responsibility for actions and their consequences.
