If they thought they could get away with it, you bet your ass NK would invade SK. US presence is probably the only thing keeping exactly that from happening.
And Cuba sanctions are to appease the Cuban population in Florida. Even the GOP (especially those in farm states) are trying to revoke those sanctions.Rock me Jesus, roll me Lord...

what logical sense would that make? ... so, north korea invades south korea ... now what? ... now, they have to figure out how to feed another $50 million people that specializes in making high-tech electronics and cars ...
but what is the foundation of their sanctions? ... it's to combat "communism" ...0 -

Don't look at NK from a logical POV. It won't work. The best way I could describe KJI is having the mentality of a small child throwing a tantrum in a crowded restaurant. He's just looking for attention. Sanctions are the equivalent of sitting him in a corner for time-out.
If you look at the remaining "communist" countries, only China has any sort of world impact. And China isn't really that much of a strictly "communist" state. It's more or less some mutant hybrid of capitalism and communism designed to further the interests of a few individuals.Rock me Jesus, roll me Lord...

Yeah, some ignorant mouth breather from Alabama claims responsibility for the whole "brick" thing.

But I suppose you don't believe that, do you? Of course not. Evolution, global warming, you're all the same. Anything that doesn't fit into your tiny, small-minded worldview is instantly denied. Sixty years ago, people like this would've been wearing white hoods and burning crosses. Now, they've managed to cloak their racism as "patriotic." Well guess what, motherfuckers. Guess who's coming to dinner... the South will NOT rise again. And our only hope is that ignorant people like this die soon. Hopefully from old age. Mike Troxel, an organizer for the Lynchburg Tea Party, posted what he believed to be Perriello’s home address on his blog this week, sarcastically urging other tea partiers to stop by and “say hi and express their thanks regarding his vote for health care.”

It amazes how you find it so hard to believe some people even those who could include Teabaggers are capable of such despicable acts of threats and intimidation.

i am astonished that some people would think it is more conceivable that liberals would infiltrate these groups and behave so abhorrently as to make the tea party look bad...to me the simplest explanation is some of these people have lost their shit and are acting out to make their voices heard. that said, violence and threats and intimidation is not protected speech. i think now more than ever the old saying "never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups" is very applicable...i think the tea party has made their intentions abundently clear with the way these people have acted the last week...."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

Republicans can't defeat Obama alone. If they could, he'd never have been elected in the first place. The Independents are the ones with the real voting power. And I think these people are mis-calculating if they think vandalism and threats are going to win them supporters or further their cause. Maybe locally, within their like-minded community, they'll be empowered. But overall, on a national level, the victims will get the sympathy. I'd bet anything that the majority of the country will be disgusted by this type of behavior.
EDIT: Check it out, Gallup poll...only 19% of adults are actually "angry" about healthcare. They may be vocal, but they're a minority. http://www.gallup.com/poll/126929/Slim- ... ssage.aspx
the problem is that most adults don't vote. look at the seniors, they vote in droves and last i saw they are not happy with the health care bill.
they are worried that the government will cut their medicare to pay for UHC. i am not saying they are right but that doesn't matter.0 -

sorry ... it's hard to see your point if you want me to remove logic ...
i think you've bought into this whole axis of evil thing a bit too much myself ... the only reason north korea is allowed to be north korea is that it has no oil ... kim jong il may have an ego but if there is going to be a reunification of korea - it will NOT be thru war ... americans are in south korea because it allows them to have military bases pretty much close to china ...0 -
Is it at all possible that some of these threats are not real.the brick incident how do we know it was from a tea party member. I'm a member of the Tea Party. If you think that makese a racsist or any other pathetic name. Than you truly don't know me.The bus came by and I got on!!!!!0

It's funny...people get all up in arms when people stereotype the poor as lazy...but it's ok to do as long as it's the "other side". Hypocrites everywhere.hippiemom = goodness0 -
