not that long, usually enough shows nearby
typically hit all shows within 100 miles of NYC
NY shows, hartford philly since 96

"traveled" to AC, reading, albany 06 and lolla.
Those are the longest trips. Luckily.

Four this time around. Camden, MSGx2, and hartford.

  • I did orange county to berkeley last weekend and I swear it is closer than LA in terms of time and resources...$56 and 75 minutes on southwest airlines.

Anyway, the farthest I've traveled to see a show was newport beach to brisbane in '03...Still probably the best trip I've ever taken. I guess it's about time to raise the bar :)
  • I will have travelled some 8 hours in June, when I see PJ in DC. Not record breaking I think :)

I know that our group of 5 will be departing from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada on the 26th to drive down to Hartford, then the two Mansfield shows. Going to be a ridiculously fun trip, and worth the 11-12 hours drive down to Hartford.
My question...How long have YOU traveled either in a group, or by yourself to see Pearl Jam? Interested in seeing the responses!

Boston to Morrison, CO Red Rocks baby!!!! It was pretty amazing!

i think the drive to montreal was something around 15 hours, flight to toronto was a quick 2.5 hours hehe

the longest trip of all (not time wise) was after st.john's 2, i hung around a bar (where a lot of the bands crew were at) until 4am, took a cab to the airport, flew into halifax, walked to the tim horton's by the highway, waited 45 mins or so, hopped in a shuttle bus for a 4 hour ride to summerside, walked 20 mins to my brothers house and he drove me home, i was spent.

Hmm the longestI ewver travelled to seePJ was a year and a half following them from Lollapalooza of 92- t5he replacement shows of 95... the last of which I saw was November 5th and 6th. I travelled all together like 1700 miles I figured up the other day.. I've seen them 12 times.. and I'm working on show 13 in TN this year so add 538 miles to 1700 and that's how far.. :-)

The greatest time travelled to see Pearl Jam was when I drove from Calgary to the Gorge, by way of Vancouver and Seattle. It took around 17 hours total, but was so worth it. :D

I think Eric is talking about Philly Jason for distance and time travelled to a show, not how many. I don't think anyone will will ever pass Amy in how many!

For me it would either be a
55 hour nonstop drive from Adelaide to Perth
    or a
45 hour nonstop drive from DC through Atlanta to Denver

The toughest one for me was a 22 hour nonstop drive from Vancouver to San Fran and then the same drive back, by myself because Babs and Steph were useless in the driving department haha

BUT the winner is definitely Newfie Joe taking 2 full weeks to hitch hike across the country from St Johns NFLD, all the way west to Vancouver for the start of the Canadian tour.

    Jason
I'm surprised Joe only took 2 days!
there are people ready to pick him up as a hitchiker?
    :D
  • i flew from manchester NH to Los Angeles and then drove to mountain view, cali for one of those bridge school benfit shows back in 1999 or 2000 i forget which year. It was on halloween i remember that. Then in 2005 i drove along with three friends to the halifax Nova Scotia show. That was well worth the 12 hour drive. With my ten club tix myself and a friends got 3rd row center for something like 120 bucks. While my other 2 friends paid over 400 bucks to sit 3 rows from the rear of the arena in the balcony
