No, I just want to buy some goddamn tickets to the show in my home venue. Is there a problem?
  • In August of '05, I left on a 4,200 mile trip which began with driving to The Gorge, and winding up in Winnipeg, then going back to Alberta. It involved various friends for various legs of the six show journey, but one friend came to all the shows. Well worth it.

You know this is hilarious. You guys are driving 12 hours to Hartford to see PJ. I live 15 minutes from the venue and I can't even score tickets to the show (shitty lawn does NOT count) so I doubt I'll be going. Something is wrong with this picture....

if anyone has an extra pair in the mid to lower pavilion, I would be willing to pay 4-5x face value. I am getting rather desperate at this point!

Everyone has the same chance for tickets. They would NEVER play where we live(d) and the ONE time(well three shows) in Atlantic Canada there were plenty of people there from ALL over there. So us 10clubbers were farther back because of travellers. It sucks you didn't get tickets but I think likely the problems is probably less him than it is the ticket brokers. My first PJ I was SUPER far away and I have to say it was AMAZING. I was happy just to be in the building. I hope you get some good seats :)

For Vedder Soup: Good luck! BTW, you clear immigration at LAX, so by the time you get to JFK, you'll be considered "domestic" and will be straight out :)

My longest distance distance travelled would have been last June when I had tickets to see PJ in London and no $$$ to get there...I still, and will always, refer to that date, June 18th, as black Monday.

My longest trip in terms of hours and miles was from Philly to Sydney, Australia in 2006 . All told , I flew Philly to LAX , then LAX to Sydney. Not sure of the miles , but flying time was between 20 and 21 hours total. I arrived looking like my usual 10 pounds of s**t in a five pound bag. Cate Blanchett, on the same flight , arrived looking beautiful as ever. Must be nice to have an army of IST's...publicist, manicurist, stylist, beautician-ist, nutritionist, you get the point. Kidding aside, I'd do the trip again in a second. Next time PJ plays OZ, I'm in for the whole tour instead of five shows.

I know that our group of 5 will be departing from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada on the 26th to drive down to Hartford, then the two Mansfield shows. Going to be a ridiculously fun trip, and worth the 11-12 hours drive down to Hartford.
My question...How long have YOU traveled either in a group, or by yourself to see Pearl Jam? Interested in seeing the responses!

15 hours by plane to hawaii.
I remeber it vivdly, we hung out with Tim Bierman, he asked us straight face and all, so did you guys make it to australlia. I felt happy thinking he thought we were that solid of fans, in the back of mind I was think wow, I am fucking crazy for doing this.

  • Central PA to Munich, Katowice, Italy (cancelled), and London. One of the best times of my life with my brother. We drove from PA to Kitchener and Hartford as well. I know that people have talked about it before, but the amount of money spent on trips to see Pearl Jam is probably too much. Telling other people who don't get it is always fun. It is worth every penny though.

Enjoy the trip! Nothing better than hopping in your car with a fellow fan, throwing some PJ on the stereo and hitting the road for a tour! - Dawn
  • I did a 16 hour drive from Edmonton to The Gorge in '06. ...so time wise, that would be the longest.

and this year the furthest i'll be going is NYC.
