  • My favorite steakhouse in Benton's in the Crown Center, but it's not open on Mondays. The Plaza III Steakhouse at the Plaza is also good, but a bit pricey. I'm sure someone who spends more time in the Power and Light District could tell you more about a good steakhouse there.

So where does nutmeg come from? A tree? A root? Or maybe even a nut?

  • The BBQ all looks good but I really want a KC Strip before the show. Since I live in the south I get good BBQ any day I want. Yes I do work at the best steakhouse in the world but I love a good KC strip. I really should have one in its birth place.

Plaza III is my favorite. I've heard 801 in the P&L is very good, but I've not been there. It is not truly "local", however, as it is a Nebraska import. Both will be pricey.

three days of parking at my hotel is going to cost me $60. Not familiar with the city and am staying at the Palmer house. Does anybody have any recomendations? Is parking tough in KC?

Parking at our hotel was $15 a day, but we're only staying for 1 night. Think we're doing airport shuttle and walking and cab instead. $10 parking at Spring Center, right?

Coming in from Atlanta to see the show and the city.
It is sure to be a great time when so many dedicated people come together for a really cool event and any PJ Concert is a cool event. Hope to see some of you guys and gals there.

Hey, drsluggo and anyone else! If you are hungry for some KC Barbecue I cannot recommend a restaurant more than Arthur Bryant's Barbecue (http://www.arthurbryantsbbq.com). It's located about 1.7 miles away from the Sprint Center at 18th and Brooklyn (take Grand south until you hit 18th, then take that to Brooklyn and take a quick left, it's the unassuming building on the right). It is one of, if not the, finest Barbecue restaurant in the world. And very reasonable. I strongly recommend the ribs (though if you eat a full slab as I sometimes do, you might need to take a nap before the show). Dammit, now I'm hungry at it's only 8:30am!
Thanks for the tip - I had actually read about this place on one of those 'best bbq in KC' lists so I'm hitting this one for a late lunch once my flight gets in. I am looking forward to it -- not like I can't get BBQ in Chicago, but there's something about eating in a city that's known for it!

    Mmmmmmmm....

no, not a geek at all! I won't be able to look so look for the rest of us ;) I ask a bartender to check for me usually, they are very helpful.
  • Seems like TouringFans has some things wrong in it. It says I don't have 10c tix, but I do, so there might be some discrepancies for what they think the seating might be.
  • Don't forget about the pre-party Wishlist Fundraiser at Johnny's Tavern from 3-5:30 p.m. on Monday!
Johnny's has agreed to donate 10% of the profits during the party to our charities, so please come eat and drink with us.
We hope to see all of you there!

I've been trying to figure out how many rows/seats are in those floor sections bit cannot find anything. Anyone have any info?

Check out Youtube to get an idea of the size of the arena. I know the bowl seating is 30 rows from top to bottom, but not sure how wide the sections are.
