wow that was really great. Only problem i had  was it could have been a half hour more. They didn't really discuss the latter parts of their career. No mention of To the 5 Boroughs era whatsoever and barely any mention of Hot Sauce. Other than that it was great.
Agreed. I attended one of the shows they filmed for this in Brooklyn last year and it lasted about 3 hours, so they trimmed it down. Hoping for a future DVD/Blu-ray release with expanded features. They did add some outtakes after the credits too if people didn’t watch all the through.

Fantastic film. Really enjoyed it after seeing the two different incarnations of the stage show.
Ahhh that's good that it was longer in person than the movie. Kinda disappointed I didn't go to the one near me

I didn't get a chance to see the live show last year by me, but I watched this the other night and enjoyed it a lot. The storytelling was sharp and a lot of funny and heartwarming stories.

Love the Beasties and was so excited when it was announced but it got repetitive quick. Was hoping for deeper cuts, remixes, and live stuff. Lots of singles, and the Pass The Mic Guest DJ sessions with David Cross and Talib Kweli had a decent amount of overlap to their playlists. Guess it will be moving to online only for the rest of its trial run after its week in XMU's place.

I agree.....they play too many hits.  The guest session with DJ Shadow was cool.

I recently read their new book and watched their doc. I highly recommend both. They put me on a Beasties kick.

I've been listening to them non-stop since the documentary came out. Even coming around on some stuff I wasn't that into (To The Five Boroughs in particular)

Personal favorite moments from the documentary....

-16-year-old Ad-Rock sneaks into a TV show audience and asks Afrika Bambaataa if he's ever heard Cooky Puss.

-Mike D. on the early days: "We were a hardcore band...but we kinda weren't. We were as much Monty Python as we were Black Flag."

-Ad-Rock makes his film debut by driving a car into a pool and having an orgasm.

I loved that doc. Love the beasties. I wish the documentary was longer. Here’s the first music i remember ever hearing, from this very tape.
