I never had a spreadsheet for this. I had an Access database. I have since moved it to a MySQL database with a PHP front end on teh interwebs. It keeps track of all my shows, where they were at, the show posters, the openers, my show companions, and of course, which songs were played when.
sounds awesome.....even if I have no fucking idea what you're talking about!
Those initials are Me (Nathan Wilds) and 3 of my friends who all follow the band, and under each name is the # of times we have each seen that song. It is another few pages with covers and tags.

ok guys, i totally nerded out and did my spreadsheet today.
Amazing - I've been to five shows and only seen Yellow Ledbetter once!!! Also crazy that I've seen them do Bee Girl the same number of times as Alive... who woulda thunk it...
This is what happens when I have a cold - I have to channel my excitment for the upcoming shows next week somehow!!! :ugeek:

i'd think it'd be cool if they would let you customize the song listing that shows all the data for all the shows to show just your data beside it. they've got all the data. i've put all my shows into my profile. it'd take a little programming to do, but not much.
Yeah, I keep a spreadsheet. I need Wash, Alone, Of the Girl & Release to really fill me out. I just love the thrill of the hunt.
My stats:
22 shows
620 songs
28.2 songs per show
170 unique songs
Must have....more.....unique.....songs....must have......it......puts on the......lotion......precious.....precious....my precious unique songs...........

9 shows
275 songs
30.5 songs per show
118 unique songs
My spreadsheet is set up for most of it to be visible on screen at once. Songs are organized by album, including Into the Wild and Mirror Ball, Lost Dogs, Other Originals, Covers, and songs members have performed only with other artists such as Ed singing It Makes no Difference with MMJ. I add notes to cells for song titles if I've seen them play it with someone like Ben joining them for Indifference. I also note in the totals for each song if I hear a reworked version or if I hear a song the first time they play it live.
There are three sheets for songs, one for shows I've been to with my wife, another for shows I attended that she did not, and one that adds the entries from the first two for total times I've heard each song. There are additional sheets listing the shows I've been to and artists I've seen the band, or members of, perform with.
I made one a few months back, its pretty basic. All songs listed by album on the left, dates and locations across the top. Total # of songs under each show. Total # of times i've heard each song next to the song. took a while to type it all up but works great. took me 2 mins to load in my songs from Hartford. I just enter the date and then place an "X" in each song cell that they playd.
with just data from my shows with songs that i have at least 5 occurances. i also seperate tags and give them seperate lines. i should include what part of the set they occur in as well.
the average postion a song is played in a given setlist.
Song Avg. Position played

i've got it to add how many songs from Ten i've heard. 21
but that still doesn't show if i've heard each song live. some of those could be doubles.
What’s the formula that shows if I’ve heard a whole album?
oh wait i see that's the songs column. well i'm going to relabel that songs in an album

i have an excel file that lists all songs i have heard in alphabetical order, with each show date next to it listing what dates i heard the song, than a song total and a percentage heard for them. Then on another page i have all albums listed and color the songs red if i heard them, or green if i havent so i can cross also full albums that i have heard, and i know what songs i am missing.

depends on how you have layed out your data, but i would do it this way...
all your data goes on one tab, and then on anouther tab, i would list the song names. than the formula would be =countif('data tab'A:A,a2) this assumes the name of your songs are in column A of your data tab and the name of the song you want to count is in a2 of your other tab.

yeah that's a good one
but it was missing:
long road
leatherman
it's ok
and i thought it was rocking in THE free world, not A free world. lol!
maybe i'm not seeing it but i'm going to do a total for each album...if that's possible.
the last two columns don't make sense to me. please explain. i get totals but why a column for song?
here's mine: http://www.ivykennedy.com/trash/Pearl%2 ... 0Tally.xls

if anyone needs the template let me know.
Can't wait for MSG!
But I actually love this thread!
maybe a drop down box that lets you pick a song and then charts out all the data for that song.
hmmm...does anybody have all the concert data by concert downloaded yet. i could get sick with it.

Anybody know anybody from http://www.phantasytour.com/ who can add PJ to the site?
All you do is add the show you attended and it runs stats on them.. Tons of STATS!!!! I LOVE STATS!!
