Cleveland might be the best show on this little tour!
we always seem to get good shows. 2006 was top 5 of the entire US tour. We got Smile, Don't Gimmie No Lip, a drunken Eddie rant, and it was the night before a big Cavs/Pistons playoff game and you can heard Eddie toying with the crowd while everyone was chanting "Detroit sucks, Detroit Sucks"- Eddie even changed the lyrics to Comatose to fit the night. it was a good show

I think the fundraiser people need a local organizer. The facebook page indicates that there are volunteers, but not an organizer yet. If you're local, you might want to help out with ideas for locations etc.
Really looking forward to May 9th in Cleveland and May 10th in Buffalo.
Imagine if we can get a Cav's playoff game, Indians Ball Game and Pearl Jam all in the same weekend (throw in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and some nice weather and brewskies on a patio and we are good to go!)

That was a great show, but it is overshadowed by Grand Rapids the night before. Was really surprised to hear Smile in both Cleveland and Pittsburgh that year.

Anybody have suggestions for "must sees" in Cleveland?? I have never been before and would love to see a little of the city...
-Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a must
-Cavs game? There will probably be a Cavs Playoff game that Saturday night. If it's a home I would check that out for sure. Those are alot of fun. Tickets aren't that expensive on the street or on stubhub. Last year second round tickets were going for about $50.
-if you have a car, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is an hour straight down I-77 (literally on the highway) in Canton
- East 4th Street has a bunch of cool bars and places to eat, a house of blues, a bowling ally/martini bar, and a comedy club. Michael Symon (the Iron Chef) has a restaurant there called Lola. There is a cool organic place called the Greenhouse too. There is a comedy club that is really nice that brings in national acts every weekend- not sure who they have that weekend. They close down the street in the summer so everyone can eat and hang out outside. I would go here on Saturday night. I would check out Lola if you are feeling up to it- food is spectacular and everything on the menu has something to do with Symon's Cleveland roots. This is right across the street from the Q- so it might be packed if the Cavs have a game Saturday night. There is also a couple new bars with outside fires and stuff, and a new dessert bar I heard was great. A must check out
- West 6th, or The Warehouse District, has a bunch of clubs and restaurants. This is a little more clubby and dressier than East 4th which is more laid back. There are rooftop bars and good places to eat over there, and it's a goodtime on a Saturday night- but there are also alot of douche bags there.
-The West Side market is a great place too you could hit up on Saturday afternoon. It's an indoor market for all local vendors where you can get great deals on stuff, mostly locally grown food.
-Great Lakes Brewery is cool. I don't think they are open Sundays, but they are a local brewery that gives tours.
-Indians play that Saturday and Sunday.
thanks buddy, very helpful....

well my last PJ concert was The Spectrum in Philly soooo i know it won't be up to par on that concert, cause it was insane but i believe Cleveland will have a awesome vibe!
We are book a room at the Hilton Garden. Mostly because the room we're getting is called an "Evolution" something-or-other. Seems like good ju-ju. I know that's not logical at all.
We are coming in on Friday evening, so if people have something planned or would like to meet up for cocktails on Saturday night, we'd be into that. You can pm me if you'd like.

they are open until 2:30.
not sure about Sunday nights- I don't frequent the bars on Sunday nights. I would think they would be open until atleast 1. I know there is some kind of law in Ohio about serving hard liquer before 1PM on Sundays. I'm not sure if it is still around, but I remember hearing something about it.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in afternoon, if the Cavs are playing in the NBA Playoffs at home, we would check that out and then go out on the town to a sports bar somewhere to watch the UFC 113 (it's in Montreal that night).
Sunday ball game, pre concert beers and then PJ! YAHOO!!!

Cool! See you at the Hilton Garden! (Did you get it on Priceline or regular rate? Just curious)
Maybe we can figure out a bar to go to to watch UFC on Saturday night? Any suggestions from someone who lives in Cleveland?
I am not sure where I will be sitting yet for the Indians game. My buddy is trying to get media passes as he works in the industry. I would be happy with bleachers as I just want to experience a good ball park like Jacobs (compared to the mall atmosphere that is the Rogers Centre in Toronto! ;-)
Wow, about a month and a bit away and I cannot wait! Cleveland and then Buffalo back to back is going to be awesome!
I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind - E.V.
