I know it's a little early to be worrying about the parking situation, but if anyone is knowledgeable about the area it would be appreciated! I would like to park my car and leave it for both the baseball game and concert without having to worry, any suggestions?

Also if anyone has any suggestions of places to eat between the game and concert that would be cool too!

How did you get the $200 rate for 2 nights? Is that a room with 2 beds?

I am going with a buddy so 1 queen or 1 king won't do! ;-)

I want to stay at DoubleTree and party with fellow Tenclubbers...

Quicken Loans is the Q arena and it's right next to Jacobs field.

There is parking garages all around the area, the best one imo is the one right behind Jacobs field(covered, multi-story one) you should be able to park there all day for around 20 bucks, it's also right next to the Q.

Got the rate through my American Advantage program. Saw the same rate with priceline though. 2 queens or doubles, don't remember. It is actually 87 a night, but with tax comes to 100. The only thing is, is that it is the rate with no cancellation. If you cancel you don't get your money back. That saves about 15-30 a night.

And an actual question too. As far as the Tigers/Indians game goes, are there any kind of first come, first serve bleacher seats at the field? Would it make sense for 10C to try and buy those and meet up? I'm definitely interested in seeing the game. Many fond memories of Cecil Fielder, Travis Fryman, Alan Trammel, etc. days but I've never seen a Tigers game because I grew up in the UP and I live in Wisconsin now.

No, there are no general admission seats at Progressive Field. I seriously doubt the game will sell out, but if the Indians get off to a good start, and the weather is nice, with it being Mothers Day, there might actually be a decent crowd, but I still think you will be able to get tickets the day of the game, which is my plan right now, but otherwise you would have to get a group together and buy a block of seats.

Bah, too bad even if you win the Big Ten you stink it up in the National Championship! Loose to SEC teams much? At least the last Lloyd Carr led team beat Florida and Tebow the year after you LOST to them in the National Championship!

I know some people mentioned staying at the Double Tree. What is the Residence Inn like? It looks fairly close to the venue but I can't tell if it's a bad area of town or not. I don't want to get rolled after the show on our way walking back to the hotel.

For those staying at the Double Tree, how close is it to the venue? Are you driving to the show? Or walking?

I'm just trying to get a feel for the lay of things there. If that makes any sense.
