99.9% chance it's the overflow date for Boston, like they usually do. There's a 0.1% chance it's a Pittsburgh/Scranton/Memphis date that was rumored but seemingly dropped.
No way its not Boston OR Boston Proper. They have done this before at the Garden...
is this going to be announced before the ticket sales? boston, scranton, albany, wherever it is, i'd like to to know so i can plan what shows to go to.

I am operating on the assumption that it is Boston until I have real reason not too, and right now I don't. But if it does turn out to be Albany, I'm road-tripping, so no worries there. Providence, while it probably won't happen, would ROCK!
Assuming that it's going to be a 10c show, we'll have to know at least by early next week, right? I was convinced it would be nothing more than a 2nd Boston show, but now I'm not so sure.
Regardless, I have the time off, so I'm going wherever they are playing.

it would be peculiar to pack up and leave boston after 1 show, a city where they could easily sell out 2 nights. it just doesn't make sense to me. ugh :?

I'd love seeing them in D.C. back at Constitution Hall.
I would love this as well. Alas, I don't see it happening.

not to be too simplistic here, but think about it. We have a 20 year band history to go on here. When was the last time they played one Boston show?
Plus, economically, if they KNEW they could sell out a second show in two minutes, without the expense and "pain in the ass-ness" of moving to another venue 5, 10, 20, 50 miles away, why would they NOT do a Boston 2? Go to Providence, Albany, Maine, Worcetser, et al when you can just do another Boston? No way.
Usually, the simplest answer is the right one and it makes no sense for them to not do a Boston 2 (double negative?).

It would be nice to know where the TBD will be before tickets go on sale, live in middle Vermont, and if the show is in Albany thats a 2 hour drive instead of a 4hour hartford or a 5 hour Boston drive.
Does anybody think this will be an "overflow" Boston date? My girlfriend and I are thinking of flying out for Boston, but I don't want to go to just 1 show . . .unfortunately, can't do MSG due to work obligations.
UPDATE!!! Just spoke with 10C, and they didn't give me a direct answer, but I received --- "If I were a betting man, I would NOT bet on another Boston date" --- so I think that's probably a no.

Not sure why it wouldn't be Boston, since the crew needs time to get their shit down to MSG. If Hartford were not announced yet, this is the only conceivable other location they could do for the 18th. It would even be a stretch to say Albany for the 18th. The guys they have on their crew are probably really good, but a turnaround like this would be surprising, to say the least. It will either be Boston or a third MSG date.

it will happen right after the public on sale for the first show....that's how it always happens in Boston.
can't wait to see you all here!!
Holla! Can't wait to spend a few days in the city.

Given MSG dates, the goal must be to maximize revenue, minimize travel and extend band promotion as much as possible.

The only reason they would not would be a Celtic playoff game.
