Does anybody think this will be an "overflow" Boston date? My girlfriend and I are thinking of flying out for Boston, but I don't want to go to just 1 show . . .unfortunately, can't do MSG due to work obligations.

UPDATE!!! Just spoke with 10C, and they didn't give me a direct answer, but I received --- "If I were a betting man, I would NOT bet on another Boston date" --- so I think that's probably a no.

99.9% chance it's the overflow date for Boston, like they usually do. There's a 0.1% chance it's a Pittsburgh/Scranton/Memphis date that was rumored but seemingly dropped.

It will be Boston on the 18th. Venue TBD. Fenway? Orpheum? Or most likely one more at the TDwhatever Garden.

It's NOT going to be Scranton. Never in a million years. Scranton has an amphitheater that fits like 15,000 and an arena that fits like 10,000. If it's not an extra Boston date, it's gonna probably be Philly.

Yeah at first I thought it would be an over flow Boston date, but everytime time they have an overflow date the 10club still gives out the city and the venue, and just informs you that you are only buying the possibility of a ticket. The secrecy of this TBD makes me think that they are going to be in a different location, like State College as that was one of the original rumors.

  • Most likely Boston.

Don't think it will be Fenway they have a game on the 19th at home.

They are in NYC on the 18th but that is a short turn around time for a concert to a baseball game.

I'd love seeing them in D.C. back at Constitution Hall.

The size doesn't really matter. The Hartford venue is probably around 15,000 if it's even that much.

Yeah I'm originally from Carbondale and I've seen some great shows at Montage: The Up In Smoke Tour, John Fogerty, Tom Petty, Aerosmith, Velvet Revolver/Alice in Chains to name a few. But I just don't see why PJ would settle on a smaller venue (and less revenue) when the crowd would be similar to that of a Philly crowd anyway.

Especially as an added date, I just can't fathom PJ adding Montage. It'd be cool though.

It's Boston. Nothing else makes sense.

And I was just given reliable information from a reliable source that Philly is a no-go this time 'round. Depressing, I know......but, NYC, here I come.

There's simply no way Pearl Jam would come to Boston and play only one show.

We need to start a chant - "BOSTON LOVES PEARL JAM" - when they get here... let's do it!!!
  • i am liking the talk about albany. at first i was thinking it would be a spill over show too for boston considering how they never just do one show in boston, but they always do announce the location of the possible show too. since it's just TBA, it may not be boston. montreal or albany make the most sense if it's not boston, but then how many shows does NY get...buffalo, MSG x2 and if albany also, thats 33.3% of the tour in one state. i'm for albany though...party at my place if it's here.
"No time to be void and save up on life, you gotta spend it all"
  • they never play once in Beantown!!....they could sell out 4 here!! plus it's a bitch to pack and unpack all that gear!! 2 shows for sure!:mrgreen:
