    Hey guys and gals,

I'm coming from Australia with my g/f and would LOVE to get in on this hotel deal for $45. How does one bid for a hotel room????

    Thanks in advance!

Once I get the go ahead from Laura, to post all the party details, I'm going to make a facebook page too.

    Thanks

Priceline.com. Go to the make your own bid page. Priceline sells rooms and then also has the bidding site.

Not sure if a pre-party place is picked out yet but I highly recommend Joe Buck's on 10th and Clark. I work there and we are great about accomodating large parties. Great atmosphere just a few blocks east of Scottrade. We would love to have the ten clubbers for pre and post show drinks/food. Again, I'm not sure if you've already picked a place for pre-party but I do think this would be a perfect match to host a ten club party.
Plus $2.50 anheuser busch bottles which is a steal compared to any other downtown bar!

As long as the place has space. Chicago II was close to the United Center which I liked but it was too small of a location...people damn near were sitting on trash cans to eat.

So I am not asking for much...lots of space and close :)

$45 bid 3.5 star downtown St Louis. Go get it.

Thanks for the tip! I got this deal too! Coming from Australia. Can't wait!

For Aussies, I found using the UK Priceline site was the way to go. The US site wouldn't allow you to choose Australia as your country of residence, where is the UK site does. You just have to convert UK Pounds into US dollars when bidding.
  • I'm so pissed off at the Sheraton. The "discounted" room block they gave us was a lousy $106. Screw it. Just go to priceline. :(

Thanks for your efforts. I agree that Priceline is the way to go - especially in this economy. If/when the economy gets better and hotels start filling up again, then group rates will probably be the way to go.

If my memory is right (which many times it isn't), you can park at Union Station for $10.00 per night and it is pretty close.

If you are coming from the Illinois side you can park across the river at the casino for free and then take the Metro right to Union Station. We are going to do that on Sunday, and then catch Amtrak to Kansas city and then back to St. Louis so we don't have to drive from KC to Stl on Tuesday. That is a hard drive IMO and we would rather nap and rest on the train.

Oops, didn't consider parking. Oh well, $50 is still good for a hotel so I guess it all evens out.

Thinking of flying in stand-by but the flight gets in at 4:20, hoping that could give me enough time. How far from the airport to the arena area by public transportation if possible or cab cost, anyone?
the venue is about 16 miles from the airport. straight shot down highway 70 will get you downtown then its a few blocks west from there. the metrolink will take you from the airport to savvis center or union station for about $1.50 one way. if you stay at the hotel attached to union station or the sheraton across the street from savvis it should be very convenient for you.
Thanks for the info, very helpful :P . We're there! My wife & I will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary in STL on 5/5/05. I owe her big time ;) . When I mentioned St Louis she mentioned St Lucia :o . It took a bit of persuading but I promised a return to Hawaii soon ( hopefully PJ will be there on some upcoming tour  ). Did I mention how much I LOVE my wife 8-) . I'll be hitting up priceline soon too, not sure yet how many days we're staying but we will be partying for PJ, our anniversary, & Cinco de Mayo  !
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has tried that priceline deal recently. Is the Sheraton still the hotel if you bid $45 for 3.5 star hotel? Thanks

I went on Google Street view and I thought I saw a $6 a day parking behind the hotel. Is the $17 for valet?

Valet is $23, self parking at the hotel is $17, according to their website.

You might have seen a public lot.
