umm...if you work in the industry, march 15th is JUST as big as april. not everyone works only with individuals, some work with partneships and corporations. and just an fyi - september is probably THE biggest tax deadline of the year, since anyone who files for extensions is then due in september. so yea....march is just as bad as april. thus, it's an issue for me.

march 16th...i'd be able to manage ;)....usually there is a short lull between the march and april due-dates, but this week? yikes! right now is the first time i've even had a breather today to check in.

I see that Americans have the same perception of the accounting world as Canadians do. It is the corporate stuff that keeps us working 80 hour weeks, not the personal taxes.

I actually got most of my 3/15 corps finished on-time this year. Most of our individuals get extended because they are awaiting K-1s, or, they don't have money to pay their taxes, so we file at the last minute to delay IRS collection actions. The biggest W-2 I've seen so far is for $18,000,000!...crazy!

see....i'm not an accountant...i do the work after you guys do your work, and get all the returns/extensions/whatever...out to the client. thus why THIS week, the week before 04.15....and the 2 weeks before 09.15....are my KILLER crunch times. when you guys are done, giving out a big sigh of relief and kicking back with a beer.....i'm here until whatever hour it takes to make sure everything reaches the client, the IRS or whatever state agency by the required deadlines.

and sorry for boring th shit outta everyone here.....

so yea....rereading tho - i am HOPING simply kat is referencing people being sad thursday b/c if they don't renew, when they read the show announcements they will be sad they'll miss out, and HOPEFULLY the tix sales will be sometime next week, tho NOT monday please!!! 16th-19th.....should actually slow down some, bit of calm, so i can sit here and refresh for hours if need be. *fingers crossed*

my membership is good thru july 24th this year....i know b/c it is listed right on the envelope the newest issue of deep came in :D...so yea, i am good to GO! so please, please, please....ticket sales march 16th thru 19th preferably. the 16th or 17th probably the best. how i wish these things could happen on saturdays! or during non-busy times when i can be out ill.... if i did that now, i'd be out of a job - so yea.....

    aha, i see.
sadly, for what i do...don't have that luxury. once the work reaches my hands, it needs to be done NOW, not on my schedule. usually want it out the very same day, so yea...gotta get everything out the door between 5-8pm, depending where it's going. any work that comes to me after 8pm, sure fair game to take my time , but be sure to have it rady for the morning. so yea, i just can't postpone my work. c'est la vie. hoping the sale is NEXT week. please and thank you.:mrgreen::mrgreen:

My member # is 188XXX. I go to a lot of shows, and sometimes run out of buddies to go with. I also only go to shows with big fans (I'm not standing next to some radio guy).

So I'm trying to network with other people with lower member #s who go to a lot of shows. This way we can be in touch any time after the announcement if either of us want to sell the spare and want to go with a true fan.

msg me or e-mail jason dot schoenbrun gmail
  • PLEASE say there are some Southwest shows! I doubt it, but I'm hoping. I shouldn't get my hopes up... I should have learned that over the past 3 years of show announcements....

    Cool!

Last week I spent half of my concert budget for the year on a stack of symphony tickets, so I guess it's time to check under the car seats for spare change -- and maybe rearrange some budget categories. :)
