Confession: I kind of love bad films.

Death Bed: The Bed That Eats

I'm gonna put this one in the same category.  Saw it last night, really bad "horror" film from the late 70's.  I laughed more than anything

Its not the worst ever but Speed 2 is the only film where ive left the theater early.  That shit was awful.  Usually i’ll stay and get my money’s worth but i cut my losses on that one

The worst movie I watched in 2019 was Logan's Run (finally got around to it after several decades).  Bad pacing.  A very cool premise that fizzled out 30 minutes before the ending.  There is an absolute stunning blond in the film that had the acting chops of a sack of rocks ... Farrah Fawcett!  She was the 70's.

  • Pitch Black
    Howard the Duck
Fast & Furious (never watched a minute of a sequel obviously)
    Monuments Men
    The Mule
    Richard Jewell
    2012
    Gotti
    Sliver
    Pretty Woman
    Blair Witch Project
    Intersection
All equally horrible. All Zero stars... turkeys. I’m sure there are more but these really stuck out.

If it's so bad I want to label it worst, I turn it off or walk out.  I walked out of a theater a half hour into the 1985 film, "A Room With a View"- a film that won 3 Academy Awards.  But then, I'm not necessarily impressed by awards.  If anything, they are often red flags.

Maybe Tree of Life. I HATED it. The most pretentious film for the sake of pretentiousness ever made IMHO. The only part of it that I kind of liked was when that absolutely unbearable son died, lol.

Haven't seen this but came across a Rifftrax clip of the trailer. Looks bad. (The kid was a former child star in one of those 80's family sitcom tv shows)

    Whomever said Pretty Woman, YES!

Sometimes horrible movies are so bad they’re great for a laugh — especially the ones made in earnest.

Long thread to scan through… but for me 2012 is definitely up there. Wow, that was bad.

Honourable Mentions: Pitch Black, Slap Shot 2, Fast and Furious (I only saw the first one), and anything with Richard Gere (note Pretty Woman above)

Dr. T & the Women is a highly enjoyable film (notice I didn't say "good"), and Gere is surprisingly watchable in it, too.

I would say the same about I'm Not There as well, except that one is a friggin' masterpiece, and everyone is left in the dust by Cate Blanchett.
