so if all these rumors hold up to be true, tour starting april 19th in tampa and now a date may 13th in DC, this looks like a pretty extensive east coast tour that would put the guys playing shows over here for possibly a month or longer, im keeping my fingers crossed
Has Pearl Jam ever given fan's just 1 month's notice on tour ticket's? Say ticket's go on sale March 19th for that April 19th show. They have given Europe over 6 plus month's notice for their June/July show's. I'll be shocked to see these April/May rumored East Coast show's ticket's going on sale right now with just a few day's notice.
It seems really odd to me that the band would do SNL and then disappear completely from the US. The reason that any band does SNL is to build hype and what's the point in building up some hype only to disappear and play no shows in the months following?
Well, they did do 4 night's in Philly with no other show's in the East Coast last year. They could of at least did a show or 2 by the next state or something. Back in '06 when they did SNL in NY 4/15/06, day's later they went to UK for a few advertising gig's, then came back to NY for Letterman 5/4/06. Which officially started the '06 tour a few day's after in Toronto for 2 night's. That's almost a month time away from that SNL gig.
I have had 3 messages this morning about this. It seems WRNR has announced this with an on sale to the public of March 19th.
if that's the case then I wouldnt expect a 10C announcement until the monday after SNL (3/15), 10C pre-sale on 3/17 or 18, and then public sale on 3/19.

Add me to the list of people who thinks this is going to happen. I am usually pessimistic about these things, but something is giving me optimism this time around. It seems really odd to me that the band would do SNL and then disappear completely from the US. unless they booked SNL back when they had a potential tour planned and it was either too late to back out of SNL, or they just didn't want to back out due to at the very least- a performance on SNL means a boast in albums sales

Is how people can make themselves absolutely crazy, 2-3 months before shows are even announced....WTF is that???
The time to lose your mind is when the shows are announced, and you are trying to book hotels, planes, trains, etc......
And they can announce all the shows they want.....That still doesnt mean you are going to get 10club tickets....right??? I have been shut out more than once.....

If they play DC, and now that MSG is out ( :( ) then I'd have to believe that Izod or another NJ venue is very possible, as long as DC ends up happening.
A one-off show at a festival can make sense for equipment, since the sound and lighting is already setup for all bands. While possible to play a one-off arena date, it is more financially sound to do multiple dates, and DC is not far from Jersey which is their biggest market area.
If we get any confirmation of DC, I'd say that bodes well for states north of there, but this is my speculation.

off topic but not really, I actually spoke to an employee at Bryce Jordan Center and she said on their tentative calendar that PJ was slated for the 7th of May I believe. I think they had a tour planned but are working things out with playoffs, Matt and other things to move forward. But if they're doing SNL next week, any chance of a secret show at the Beacon? They have to come in to rehearse anyway!

When I worked with a band performing on SNL, it took pretty much the whole week to practice and do rehearsals and whatnot. It's possible, but it may be cramming too much. But if I had to make a completely wild guess, I'd say it would be most likely following SNL on Saturday, since that's when they are done with it.
