Who was the American player on CTV talking smack, was that Kesler or Ryan, fuck give it a break. Did he really think that they could break us by reminding our players of the Slovakia game.

who gives a shit...we were playing with house money...it is like me bragging if the U.S. beat Canada at hoops...You were SUPPOSED to win.....losing would have been a national calamity.

First let me say that a VAST majority of the Canadians I know, including those on this board, don't fit the following ...

Some Canadians have shown a really poor side of themselves during this olympics. I was watching the men's curling final yesterday (yeah, I said that) and in the beginning fo the match, during the final throws of the 2nd end, a pretty crucial time .... someone in the stands blasted an airhorn during the Norwegians shot ... not once, but twice.

Now, many of the folks in the stands were booing that person, and hopefully they pointed them out and they got escorted out ... but damn, between that, cheering so loud to drown out the communication of the Danish women's team (to the point they made the girl freakin' cry) ... and booing the Americans during their last 2 hockey games ... it's been a pretty poor showing for some Canadians.
    OK, this is not golf.

kids in the U.S. are raised to play football, basketball, and baseball. Losing to the U.S in hockey would have been an utter embarrassment.

And Crosby adds yet another notch on his belt as the best player in the world. Too bad some don't get it.
I agree, the best players make clutch plays, he just did it.

I agree about football...basketball the US is slowly losing its grip...baseball, I doubt it.

Great game. Excellent tournament by the US, I think this team will be a force for some time to come.

Just remember that the next Olympics will be on international ice, Burke ain't bright enough to alter his team to accommodate that. Stevie Y. or whoever picks our next team knows better.

Come on -- not all Americans are bred to play incessantly boring sports. There's lots of good hockey talent in the states now.

We didn't lose our grip on hockey overnight, but probably around 1980 90% of the NHL was Canadians nowI'll bet it's closer to between 50-60%, take a look and see how many Americans were in the NBA 20 years to now, you'll probably surprised. In the case of the NBA, it would be a good thing, because right now it's such a ghetto league.

Then if you don't give a shit, then why post on this forum. Go back to watching the ghetto league, or maybe watch the steroid baseball players.
