Season is over with them. Good news is the top 4 starters all return next season and bullpen is the easiest thing to fix in FA. Law is a good setup guy and can handle 8th inning duties. Pay the premium for someone like Chapman to close. Once those 2 roles are established the rest of the pen should fall in line. Just need to dump Casilla, Romo and Lopez this offseason.

No doubt they have been a complete train wreck. At least Bochy finally came to his senses and gave Romo the 9th back. Not saying he's a lock but Casilla was and is a lost cause. For all this teams troubles though they are still on the cusp of getting in. We all know once they are in anything could happen. The have the best postseason pitcher of this century and 3 other very solid starting pitchers. If the offense could scratch out 3 or 4 runs and the bullpen doesn't implode this team could actually make the NLDS and even give the Cubs a serious scare. I still feel like they have deeper problems than '10, '12 or '14 because the bullpen and their lack of consistent offense, especially power. Regardless though I'm still convinced nobody, Cubs included wants to see MadBum, Buster, Hunter and Bochy in a 1, 5 or 7 game series.
They have won 10 straight playoff series with much of the same roster, that has to carry some value!

starting pitching CAN be damn good (assuming cueto is good)......but the lack of power, lack of clutch hits, bullpen.....it would be a miracle.
