It looks like Romo may be going to the yankees.

No new LF which I actually applaud. Lets see what Williams can do with a full chance. He started to come on last season right before Pagan came back. Team can always trade for someone at the break. The team has a desire to stay away from the luxury tax so the team is now assembled for 2017. I was hoping we would add one more piece to the bullpen.

Arroyo being moved to 3rd full time this next season in the minors. I am calling it now, he will be every day 3rd baseman starting in June. They will give him a couple months in the minors to get used to 3rd full time and he will be called up.

They do not. He won't make the team. Can only play short and whomever is extra infielder needs to play multiple spots. This to me is someone in the organization owed his agent a favor. He will get some spring training at bats as audition for another team and will be gone first cuts.

Beede cracked Keith Laws top 100 prospects at number 62. Giants never have someone that high in the list. Law is releasing 20 a day and I have not seen Arroyo yet. We might have a top 50 guy which would be a first I think since Posey.

Laws write up on Beede:
After a very disappointing 2015 season in which Beede tried to throw more sinkers (at the Giants’ suggestion) and seemed to lose his fastball, the former Vanderbilt ace put everything back together for a big bounce-back year that restored his first-round luster and probably put him on track for a 2017 call-up.

Beede was back to throwing 92-95 mph on his four-seamer in 2016, with the full repertoire he showed in college, including a curveball that’s now his out pitch. His fastball command is probably still his main weakness (that or the lack of life on his four-seamer), but he was better at pitching in and out than he had been before, and he has added a cutter that might give him a fifth weapon along with the change, curve and both fastballs. Beede’s command still needs work, but his control made a huge leap forward last year, which I think is more a result of his renewed confidence than any physical issue throwing strikes.

He might reach the majors on the quality of his stuff before he’s fully developed as a pitcher, but by his late 20s, I expect him to at least be a solid-average big league starter. There are a lot of ways he could become a No. 2, depending on his command and the development of that new cutter.

I think the Hundley signing was the Giants giving their opinions of both Brown and Adriazana. Brown no longer has a spot on the 25 man roster and Adriazana was waived.

I like Brown but like the Hundley signing. The backup should be a veteran guy.

Rollins does not make this team. I still view it as a favor the team did for his agent. He is trying out for someone else. Gillaspie is probably the odd man out. You don't bring the dude over from Korea unless you plan on keeping him. Tomlinson is the interesting case. If that Korean dude can win 3rd base job Giants move Nunez to super utility which is where they really want him. If that happens Tomlinson may not have a spot either.

I have no idea what the Giants are going to do with Arroyo when you add him to the infield glut. He will be ready for a spot on the team in August. I'm curious to see where the Giants put him this year to start the minors. He has been playing short and 2nd base up until now. He has the body for a 3rd baseman though and could be the long term answer there. Dude is rated with a 70 hit tool on the scouting scale and everything points to him being a .300+ BA guy with 10 to 15 homers.

They resigned Beckham to compete for a backup infielder spot. He was signed last September when there was a rash of injuries.
