    thanks, dude

I was telling someone last night how "active" the phils, sox, yankees threads are. then there's the cubs suck and mets threads. then there's ours. but, hey, at least we have one. unlike some other bullshit teams I can think of.

    typical win last night

crazy in a good way! we are actually in pretty good shape to contend for awhile. by 2013 the whole roster could be home grown and young

you must have forgotten that sabean is the GM. he will never let this happen. he loves overpaying for old, crusty vets way too much

glad to hear your battle is going well. keep up the fight

yeah, sabean rightfully has that rep....but a lot of it was desperation to win during that time we had the best player in baseball.

huff we had to sign. I'd a been pissed if we hadn't. they found the money for burrell in the cushions of bonds' old recliner. tejada was a mistake.

meanwhile....how about mixing a few strikes in with all those balls, Beard :? ? you're killing me!

this keppinger trade can only help. we need to now release tejada and cut bill hall loose when he comes off the DL.

I'm still here! Like the trade, you are right about Tejada and Hall. I'm hoping/praying we can add one significant bat to the order before the deadline. It sounds like most teams won't be making moves before the deadline.

Vogelsong is the story of the year! When is Zito's contract over?! I feel like the staff is betters than last years at this point. We will see!

Still pissed I missed you in LA Rob!

    When is Zito's contract over?!
2013...unless we want to pick up his $18M option for 2014

otherwise, we pay him $7M for that year :wtf: and he rides off into the sunset with his maybe 70 wins over 7 years.

Big series this week! Should be fun. Too bad we don't get to face Halladay or Lee this trip. Maybe when they are in SF in a couple weeks.

Keppinger looks good so far. Glad to see Bumgarner pitching better :)

And the possibility of Carlos Beltran.

Trade deadline in a week, have to this the Giants are going to make a move for a bat.

Tonight is probably the best pitching matchup of the series. We'll see if Worley can stay hot.

Tomorrow - Hamels vs. Zito. Nice. Hope our lineup doesn't make that guy look good. (been known to happen this year)
Thursday - Kendrick vs. Cain. Ugh. Even your team's lineup can mash Kendrick.

Looks like a push then huh?

Will we see Zito in rare form or Matt-as-Matt form and no runs?

On paper, the deal doesn't look too bad. Beltran is having a great year, he wants to contend, but I cringe thinking about his knees. I don't want to see him trot out there on busted knees like Bochy and his poor, busted knees. One year deal, and shoot for the moon to get Fielder in Orange!

We get "El Batador" for a damn good pitching prospect. I guess I can like that. Beltran can do some serious damage in triples alley. I can only hope the Phillies don't make any moves.

Good to see we can win one in Philly, now to win the series tomorrow! :)
