it's amazing how Ed was so outspoken when Bush was in office and now not a fucking peep since that douche Obama has been in office........i just don't understand it.....it makes me so very, very sad.....it almost feels like i lost a friend.
Ever thought that, with an infant and another young child at home, he might have another focus right now?
you must not have kids...because having a kid is what inspires most people to give a fuck about what is going on!! because their kids have to grow up in this fucked up world! (yeah...i have a daughter)
maybe Ed is going in reverse............but i doubt that.
Yeah, I get that. And Ed even said as much after his first kid was born.
My point is that they all have personal lives that we know NOTHING about, so I don't think it's our place to jump to conclusions & judge when we really have absolutely NO idea why he hasn't spoken up in the manner and time frame you would have preferred.

since you're not cut from the same cloth i'll just let you know that that fire that burns in us (Ed & I) isn't something you turn on and off...either you have it or you don't...there is no fucking "time frame"....but i'm sure he'd be happy to know you tried to jump to his rescue.
...I think it is still hard to pass complete judgment on Obama no president in modern history has faced this much obstruction from members of the other political party.
Who... the Dems? WTF... HIS party has overwhelming control of the House, and a very sizable majority in the Senate. Let's be honest about this.... the GOP might suck, too, but they ain't in control of things.
This makes me hesitate my judgment.
Was this also the case for the last resident or 1600 PA Ave for you, Ed and others?
Regarding the wars I agree with Obama there too. We need to remove ourselves reasonably you can not just turn around and walk out there...
Agreed.
I realize other countries may never do this but again we our America and we once again care about our integrity, values and morals and I don’t think that can be quantified
Perhaps, but the bigger thing is proving that this is in fact the case with Washington today. I'm far from convinced.

Personally I wish the Democrats would grow a pair, stop this stupid and fruitless pursuit of "bipartisanship", and do the job they were sent to Washington to do. Bush didn't need 60 votes in the Senate to ram through his $1.5 trillion worth of tax cuts for billionaires.
And frankly, the GOP has engaged in some really obnoxious and outrageous behavior. They've pretty much forced EVERY issue in the Senate to be decided by a supermajority thanks to their unprecedented use of the filibuster, thus forcing Democrats to cave to such idiots like Ben Nelson and Joe Lieberman just to get legislation passed in the Senate. They've blocked the President's nominees for important cabinet positions for months, refusing to even set votes for confirmation. Witness Senator Richard Shelby's blanket hold on hundreds of nominees just so he can leverage some pork for his home state. And they've forced legislation (the stimulus and health care bills for example) to be watered down considerably just so the Democrats can gain their support - and they still vote against it.
The House has passed 200 bills, but they're all stalled in the Senate because of Republican obstructionism. No wonder the Senate has been called the place where good laws go to die.
