Think about Cameron's poor wife. She's been starving herself all day to get in that dress, now she wants to go to the Governors Ball and get something to eat and Cameron's snarking, 'We're going home and we're going home now!" "But I'm hungry." "We are going home, goddamn it!"

I was disapointed up in the air did not win anything. It was probably my favorite movie. I thought adapated script would be one it would take home.

Also for supporting actress Vera was really good. I did not see Precious though so it is hard for me to compare her to Mo'Nique

Nice to see The Hurt Locker win. Little movie only made $14 million in the US.

But it deserved the win. If you haven't seen it run and check it out. 2 hours of tension.

i loved ralph fiennes cameo in this movie ... i always find it interesting to see actors in these kind of roles on low budget movies ... they must have an eye for a great film and sill gladly take small parts in it ...

anyhoo - the awards went as predicted ... no real shockers i don't think ...

without backreading, did anyone watch E! right after the Oscars? I never switch over, but did this year and holy shit was it funny. They had some panelists from Chelsea Lately on and they had cameras everywhere at post parties with them quipping, kinda like MST3K for the Oscars. They actually had a camera following Sean Penn as he apparently was walking home because they camera followed him walking down a sidwalk near a mesh fence with two people (security) and you can tell this was well past the pavillion where the Oscars was. And there was a camera w/a long range capturing it all with the commentators laughing about it. Also, during the post-conference, Mo'nique somehow took control of the press conference and it was quite funny. There is supposed to be a person who reads off a number, and they ask the question. But Mo'nique kept saying "no hunny, we'll go to 184, then 77 and then we'll go to your number." It went like this for 10 minutes. The moderator was getting pissed. Mo'nique would interrupt and say that some of these people have been w/me since the beginning and they get to ask questions too. It was quite funny.

What was the deal with the black guy accepting for "Prudence" and the old broad interrupting him because he didn't wait for her? That was hysterical. It was like a SNL bit or something.

Hurt Locker sucked. don't waste your time. it's two hours of non sense that you will never get back. from a bombs expert knowing exactly how to spot, to a a bomb expert running off into streets to hunt somebody that may or may not be there, to a bomb expert forcing somebody to drive them to a house in the city of bagdad to a bomb expert walking back to the base in the middle of the night after his trip to a house in the city. complete and total rubbish.

The Hurt Locker was my favorite of the bunch...I hope they never do this 10 nomination bullshit again....Jeff Bridges was phenomenal in Crazy Heart..
