    anyone here upper class/wealthy in economic status? As a sociology major, it is of course, of major interest to me. Its fascinating how our society views wealth and upper class individuals. I have good friends who are very wealthy, while I come from a middle class family, very modest family.

    Anyone summer in the Hamptons or Connecticut, or Martha's Vineyard?

    Anyone have a yacht?

    Anyone go to Yale, Brown, Columbia, Harvard or Princeton?

    Ever attended a high society gathering or gala/ball?
    * Nope, not me. My 'rents work their asses off & have just scraped by for my entire life. I also work extremely hard & do well enough to stay comfortable... but then again, no kids yet. :roll:

    * I summer on the borders of CT/RI, but technically still in MA. 8-)

    * I have a canoe. :thumbup:

    * I went to Harvard... for a tour once. Oh, & I listen to Brown's radio station. :lol:

    * I have attended 2 gala events... & they were awesome! :mrgreen:

  • its all relative to where you live as well; as cost of living and such affects your class significantly.

    I make 40k, my soon to be wife makes 30k. if i lived in Mississippi we would be upper class. where i am in mass it is lower middle class.

    But we eat breathe and sleep. Couldn't be more blessed 8-)

    I make a little less than you, my wife makes double what yours does. And she thinks we are poor. I think we are more than fine. It's very frustrating.

    Yeah, but only because I'm the Class Editor for the PJ Fan Yearbook... did u submit your mugshot yet?! ;) I've never met like 250-ish of them, but I hope to meet many at PJ20. As for the rest... a large purge will go into effect after the festival. :shh:
