I still get completely excited when an album drops & a tour gears up.
I like the post about 80s stuff. Here's mine:
Favorite hair metal band: I didn't really like hair bands because I was a new wave/goth kinda girl.
Favorite 80's band/group: Duran Duran, The Cure, Bauhaus, Love & Rockets
Favorite 80's female singer: Siouxsie & The Banshees
1st Concert: Besides Shaun Cassidy & Donnie Osmond in the 70s, Duran Duran 1984
Favorite Seattle/Grunge band (non PJ): Soundgarden
Worst Concert: The Cars, 1985 - most boring show ever
Best Concerts in order: [non PJ]: (1)Depeche Mode 1988, (2)The Cure 1987, (3)Bauhaus 1999, (4)Duran Duran 1984 & 1987, (5)Peter Murphy 2002
Kimmie!! I knew I liked you from the moment I met you. But Gurl, you even knowing who Peter Murphy is just seals the deal!! one of my all time favorite solo albums is Peter Murphy Deep!!

We 40+'s are the hardcore & it will be interesting at the BDO in January as it has become a festival that young people go to & they see it as their right of passage to being an adult. There will be a large proportion of them that would never had heard of PJ & they are in for a big lesson in what real music is all about as a majority don't actually go for the music but just to be seen. The Gen Y lot have much to learn & I hope they are educated by the band that gave us the soundtrack of our youth!!Eastern Creek 95,Syd 1 98,Bris 2 98, Syd 1&2 03, Reading Fest 06, Bris 1 06, London 09, Hyde Park 10, Gold Coast BDO 14 Budapest 22 Krakow 22 Amsterdam 22 St Paul 1&2 23 Chicago 1&2 23 Chicago 1&2 24 New York 1 24 Philly 1&2 24 Boston 1&2 24 Gold Coast 24 Melbourne 1 24 Sydney 1&2 240
