Looking around at Wrigley, it appeared that most PJ fans are 40+. I'm 41 myself.

45 checking in! Loved them from the start. First show Dallas 2003 then Wrigley.
I still get completely excited when an album drops & a tour gears up.

I like the post about 80s stuff. Here's mine:

Favorite hair metal band: I didn't really like hair bands because I was a new wave/goth kinda girl.
Favorite 80's band/group: Duran Duran, The Cure, Bauhaus, Love & Rockets
Favorite 80's female singer: Siouxsie & The Banshees
1st Concert: Besides Shaun Cassidy & Donnie Osmond in the 70s, Duran Duran 1984
Favorite Seattle/Grunge band (non PJ): Soundgarden
Worst Concert: The Cars, 1985 - most boring show ever
    Best Concerts in order: [non PJ]: (1)Depeche Mode 1988, (2)The Cure 1987, (3)Bauhaus 1999, (4)Duran Duran 1984 & 1987, (5)Peter Murphy 2002

Kimmie!! I knew I liked you from the moment I met you. But Gurl, you even knowing who Peter Murphy is just seals the deal!! one of my all time favorite solo albums is Peter Murphy Deep!!

And yes, I'm 44 So I am in the over 40 club.

I started loving PJ in my late 40's. Now I'm 50! I've missed so much, but I'm going to see them in Oakland, CA for the first time. Looking forward to it everyday!

54 and looking forward to hitting the road on 10/15 for the first of 23 shows . Nothing like being a touring fan . Well, except travelling with my girlfriend for the first time ; for the last five shows out west.

We 40+'s are the hardcore & it will be interesting at the BDO in January as it has become a festival that young people go to & they see it as their right of passage to being an adult. There will be a large proportion of them that would never had heard of PJ & they are in for a big lesson in what real music is all about as a majority don't actually go for the music but just to be seen. The Gen Y lot have much to learn & I hope they are educated by the band that gave us the soundtrack of our youth!!
