    exactly...bee girl, bugs, sweet lew are just a waste of time at a show IMO. Just because they are rare does not mean they are good songs

    I agree (though i do like Bee Girl). Ill be happy to give it a shot when i get the Philly boot for night 4, but i cant imagine doing anything other than skipping through Bugs. I can certainly appreciate the fact that it enhanced the night and made it special, so im sure everyone who attended really enjoyed it, but Bugs, in particular, seems like a throw-away. I certainly would not have traded Breath and Deep from 10/30 for Bugs and Sweet Lew. And those are the songs, along with Parting Ways, Off He Goes, Tremor Christ, Untitled/MFC and Present Tense that really made 10/30 special to me.

    In the end, i guess it depends on the song (so cant say all rare songs are bad) -- I am looking forward to "Out of my mind" -- ive never heard it and its supposed to be an awesome song. And "Hold on" was fantastic at the 10/30 show.

    Blessed to have seen the first and second performances ever of "Santa Cruz." (EV 2008 - SC, Berk2)
    Doubly blessed to have seen the first (solo) performance of "The End." (EV 2009 - Philly2 )

    Parachutes in San Diego this year -- only played 16 times so far.

    But I'd count Driven To Tears, Masters of War and All Along the Watchtower too -- cause as covers go, those are all kinda/sorta rare. From '95, my gem was Sonic Reducer -- but they had played the shit outta it to that point, became "rare" after '95.

    EDIT: Oh! Low Light is rare? Cool! That was awesome at Outside Lands this summer! One of my fav 3-4 stretches of songs ever: Corduroy/Low Light/The Fixer/In My Tree

    EDIT: Hmm, having seen EV 4x a lot of these songs I've seen him do, Parting Ways, I'm Open, Satellite, Throw Your Arms, Here's to the State and just tons of stuff. That' the fun of EV Solo!

    EDIT: (reading backwards through thread) Ah cool, Sad, Down, In Hiding -- always thought SFIII was a good, good show, esp cause of Light Years. But yeah those are in the 40-60s range.

    Leavin Here played in Toronto,maybe 2005? The show that Bono sang RITFW with the band.I was shocked to hear that.
