I had to sit through MCR to see Green Day on the American Idiot tour. So horrible.
  • For those familiar with country music, I was forced to go to a Vince Gill concert. :?

eh probably the Jonas Bros, which I took my kid to. I didn't need earplugs for the band; I needed them for the sound of 10,000 teenage girls screaming in unison.

  • creed, front row.

I hope you realize that Stapp thinks he's Jesus and considers you front rowers to be his disciples. Oh what a sad day this is. You spend years studying the Unified Pearl Theory of Jamming, ya post 5000 times on the message board, ya rock out at some shows in September of 2004 and June 2008....and after all that...you come to find out that you're one of Scott's children that he's been sent to bring everlasting salvation to. I almost want to give you credit for admitting it...but I just can't give credit to anything Creed related. May God have mercy on your soul man!!!

Moody Blues are pretty good. Saw them in the late 80's when they had a resurgence on the Other Side of Life tour. I'd imagine the 70's tours would have been cool.

Stings first solo tour I really enjoyed, the band was top notch, with Branford Marsalis and Kenny Kirkland. The live album from this tour (Bring on the Night) still gets some play.

Michael Bolton though? Can't offer any defense to the person who saw him.

I saw that tour twice it was great both times, I even went through a snow storm to get there.

For me it has to be.....

Gun and Roses Monsters of Rock Tour......Metallica stole the show

Motley Crew...Dr Feelgood Tour I took one of my assistants to both shows. i wanted no part of MC but he wanted to see them badly the best things were the women dancers they had on stage and the various costumes they wore...TIGHT costumes.

(Gulps) Paula Abdul and Color Me Bad. No, I am not kidding. Attending to take my little brother is really no excuse, but I was punished for it. We were shot at by some thugs afterwards. Good times.

I saw Nickelback in Cardiff. It was a free ticket because somebody had dropped out but that didn't make it any better!

As far as gigs that I've paid to see, there are a load of crappy indie bands that spring to mind - Kula Shaker, Northern Uproar (who? exactly!) Electric 6... All awful and not gigs that I'm proud of admitting to

It was either last year or the year before when I saw Maroon 5 with two friends. I wanted to go for the Counting Crows (they were touring together) but friend #1 got out of work late...so we ended up walking in right as CC was basically finished with their set, and stayed for the entirety of Maroon 5. Let me say that I did NOT enjoy it!

I guess I'm not really embarrassed, as it could have been worse, but my first concert was the Goo Goo Dolls. I'd just turned 14, they were my favorite band at the time, and it was awesome! :D
  • MC Hammer back in the day. but it was one of the best concerts i ever went to. they gave you your money's worth.

Third Eye Blind - free ticket but they sucked.

and nothing wrong with early Mariah Carey - her late 80s early 90s stuff is pretty good

bill joel back in the day was awesome in concert. other than PJ and Bruce my next 2 favorite shows were Bill Joel in the 80s - great stuff.

van hager - a couple of people mentioned this - i saw this show in camden and actually thought it was pretty good.

I saw the wonderful Blood, Sweat and Beers tour featuring Warrant, Firehouse, and Trixter. It was back in 1991.

    Warrant was headlining. Firehouse opened.

    Good times had by all.

I"m thinking this probably had more to do with being young and impressionable? :D

either way, it is pretty cool you can say you saw the man in his heyday

not embarrassed to admit I attended, but a little embarrassed that I wanted to go, paid for tickets, and enjoyed the show

    Hall and Oates
    Men at work
    Duran Duran
    Triumph
    REO Speedwagon

    Ben Vereen
    Perry Como
    Tony Bennett
this one time she took us to see Buddy Hacket, but she had no Idea how dirty he was
you shoulda seen the look on her face as she dragged us outta there lickety split.............

I saw Green Day in September. At one point their lead singer said, "Are you fucking ready to rock?" I said, "Give me a minute."

WARNING: I may have the placement of the F-Bomb incorrect, it may have come after to, before rock. I can't vouch for accuracy.
