    tough loss tonight

Brutal. Goaltending on Jo was bullshit. Too many turnovers for Ben. Should've gone to Jo on our last possession and TJ should've been in instead of Bayless for defense for the Rockets last possession.

Can't wait till Richaun comes back. Amir Johnson is getting way too many minutes. Should just be playing Jah instead of him right now anyway....

    we’ll see.

Most who watched him in college disagree with your assessment and know that what he's going through right now is bewildering to say the least and not, in any way shape or form, in line with how he looked even in Summer League, let alone college.

But, agreed that you're not a professional talent evaluator!

Why did they play Fultz at all if he was injured?  Did they hire the trainer that the Mets just finally fired?

Good question...however I think they are using the shoulder thing as an excuse for his real probably being between his ears...
shoulder would be better than between the ears.  harder to fix crazy.

That's the thing though.... what problem between his ears? I don't get this - the guy is 19 years old, has played all of, what, 3 games? And the expectation was to have him come off the bench. They're not playing for a title this year. So the yips don't make sense to me.

No one just changes their shot, especially to something as grotesque as he's been going out there and jacking up. The guy had a fine jumper, a nice smooth shot from the perimeter. Now he looks like some white dude out of the 1920's throwing a medicine ball into a peach basket with that garbage. My feeling is that both the Sixers and Fultz have fucked up a situation in handling an injury - either because the Sixers made little of it originally, or Fultz didn't tell them until well after the fact. I just don't get it. Talk about a completely unnecessary situation.

That's what I'm saying. This guy's got the yips? He needed to change his shot?

I'm not denying that his shoulder is messed up....but I think they're exaggerating the severity to cover up whatever the hell else is wrong with him that they can't figure out. His agent says he can't life his arm over his shoulder--there's plenty of footage of him during games and practice doing that without any noticeable pain. There's footage of him lifting and working out at their practice facility without any noticeable pain. I think he got some horrendous advice from someone or some people after he got hurt in summer league to adjust his shot...he then may have hurt his shoulder a bit and that's been lingering......but I just think the shot thing turned into mental block for him at some point trying to get it back to where it was.

Maybe, maybe not. But I think the lingering issue you talk about is the issue here. It's like if you mess up your knee, or foot or whatever. You then try to compensate on the other leg, which makes everything worse.

Just put this guy on the DL and leave him there. It's funny that it comes off that, apparently, this front office is worried about what everyone thinks about another top pick being hurt. Yet, they had the patience to go through it before. RIP Hinkie.

Nice win on Saturday but Jojo was spending too much time at the 3pt line again at the start of the 2nd half when all they had to guard him was Dirk. Post up big fella.

After Rockets, next 4 games are against teams without a winning record.

It gets tougher after that but what schedule are you looking at? They don't play the Spurs until January....

Well I guess I'm an idiot. I have the schedule on my wall and read left to right going from Oct to Jan instead of reading down from Oct to Nov. Whoops.

Simmons could be the best player in the league if that shot ever develops.

7 games, 5 of which against playoff teams and they start 3-4....could easily be 5-2. Not a bad start.

how many triple doubles does he have?  I know definitely one, and he's come close a few other times.

One but he's been close a few other times, yeah.

Missing 2 free throws at the end of games cannot happen though. He'll get better there.

So giddy watching both him and Jojo out there together. Saw some other stat that Embiid is one of like two other players in the history of the game to put up the numbers he put up last night in only 25 minutes of play. Sixers have two monsters in their lineup right now.

Real nice win last night in Houston.

Like someone said: was nice to see Simmons hit those Jump shots. If he starts hitting those shots?>LOOKOUT NBA. Though, at 6' 10" with his handle & the way he gets to the basket, he's gonna score. His FT shot looks like a slider coming out of his hand. I think he'll get better.

    Okafor days are numbered?

Report: Okafor may pursue buyout after 76ers decline 4th-year option

    by Victoria Nguyen 1h ago
Bill Streicher / USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

With the writing on the wall, Jahlil Okafor may want to accelerate his departure.

The Philadelphia 76ers center could push for a contract buyout after the club opted not to pick up his fourth-year option, league sources told The New York Times' Marc Stein.

The team has been trying to trade the 21-year-old since last season and was still exploring trade possibilities ahead of Tuesday's deadline before ultimately declining his fourth-year option, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

While Philadelphia hasn't pulled the trigger on a swap involving the No. 3 overall pick in 2015, Stein's sources indicated Okafor is convinced "workable" deals have presented themselves.

That, plus the lack of opportunity afforded to the former Duke Blue Devil in Philadelphia, makes it clear why he'd consider a buyout.

Okafor has largely fallen out of the rotation, receiving limited burn behind Joel EmbiidAmir Johnson, and Dario Saric. He suited up in one of the team's four games this year, posting 10 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks in 22 minutes when Embiid sat out.

Declining the option will save the Sixers $6.3 million in cap space in 2018-19, and make Okafor an unrestricted free agent in July. They could re-sign him after the campaign, but that seems unlikely.
