thankful for...

i love thanksgiving because it's a concept that should be embraced every single day (well besides the gorging on turkey :lol: )

so as i am getting ready for the gastronomical onslaught....just thinking of how blessed i am, despite some hard crap that's been going on lately.

so here's mine :)
    a job family friends love people who believe in me and have my back my crazy kitty winston music PJ seeing them 5 times this year :D the friends i've made thanks to loving the band roof over my head and food in the fridge being free being able to create art

and a billion things more, but i have to go make some coffee now!

happy thanksgiving to everybody, everywhere, every day :)

    I'm Thankful for my sister who bails me out ALL THE TIME, my kids who challenge me daily, amazing friends that I have traveled the world with, trusted my life to & watched stellar music with, these friends remind me daily that no matter how tough things may seem, music makes it all better...a new PJ album this year!     I was thankful that the bad economy kept my parents home for the holiday! It's been many years since I was able to enjoy Thanksgiving with my folks and my sister's family.

    There is a silver lining in every dark cloud, you just need to find it!

    my family, friends, health, getting two jobs that while they're not ideal in terms of status, they pay decently and enabled me to see five shows this year and take an outstanding trip to Seattle in September, personally being up close to see a World Championship team. that being said, I've had enough of 2009 and am ready for 2010.

    I'm thankful we are all at peace this year. Been thru alot in recent years now to be together with fewer worries was wonderful. With this peace comes a stronger family bond. We had a great yesterday and today. Thank you Lord for taking great care of my children. We are fortunate to make it through.

    Was wanting to start a thread in honor of Thanksgiving (I know it's early but my mind is already checked out lol)

    This will be my first Thanksgiving without my mom, so it feels very strange and sad. I'm trying to cultivate as much positivity as possible to offset the sadness some. Quite a challenge.

    Found this thread I started in 2009. How things have changed in many respects. Thankfully my list hasn't too much! So yep....

    friends
    love (of those who haven't fucking abandoned me anyway. Not that I'm bitter lol)
    people who believe in me and have my back

    Chiqui I'm sure this Thanksgiving will be difficult for you but just try and remember the happy times. I know they were few and far between the last few years, but give it a shot, I'm sure you'll find some happy moments to reflect on.

    That being said, I'm thankful that I still have both of my parents alive and well, and we will all be getting together for a very large Thanksgiving dinner at my sisters, with our family and her husbands.

    And those people really know how to throw a party.

    I love Thanksgiving, it's always been my favorite.

    I'm grateful for:
    my family (and that they are healthy)
    my health (excluding the minor blip this week)
    being employed (at least for the moment)
    the laughs I've gotten reading some of the posts on this message board
    mornings when I am able to wake up with a smile on my face
    Pearl Jam
    the kindness of strangers and the love from my friends

    While 2011 started off well, it started crashing and burning about mid-year. I'm grateful that I've gotten through it--sometimes with grace, sometimes not--and that I'm still alive.

    My wish for everyone is a healthy, happy holiday, surrounded by people you love.

    my health, my family, a roof over my head, the REAL and positive people in my life, my mind. The things I'm not thankful for can just take a hike because they're in my rearviewmirror. :mrgreen:

    I love this thread. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. I look at it just like Christmas, but much less commercial, and stressful (in my eyes). It's all about just being together with your loved ones, and realizing how beautiful life is, and how good we really have it. Some may have it better than others, but it's about being thankful for what you've got. Having enough is being rich.

    I'm incredibly thankful for:
    My family and their health
    My parents still being in love.
    My friends.
    Having a place to live.
    Having a tough job that still pays the bills.
    Music - (thank you)
    That my brother and sister have found someone they love.
    Open-mindedness

    Hope everyone has a wonderful, safe, and happy holiday :D
