Ahh.. I still haven't listened to the whole boot.
I read somewhere that their hotel was at the Gold Coast and that they had to get a police escort to Brisbane because they were running late ..
I told you that last week.
My oldies had the same driver a few days later. They gave her and her son backstage passes for their helpI'll ride the wave where it takes me.0 -

drove to canberra and back today, & whoooo geez it was a hot windy revolting day, and a crowded revolting mall, and grumpy revolting poor sales assistants - but, i had the brissie boot full blast the whole way, so i got to re-hear the whole show non stop, instead of stop start like ive been doing.
it was a great show.... that and chri definitely the standouts for me - and after listening to the adelaide boot y/day i am very very very happy to say that in my tree in brissie is by far the better version. perfect

So happy to read that the Brisbane boot is considered one of the best of the Australian tour as that's the only show I went to. Hopefully if and when PJ tour here again I'll get my act together and go to more shows.Sydney, Australia - March 12, 1998; Sydney, Australia - February 14, 2003; Sydney, Australia - November 8, 2006; Sydney, Australia - November 25, 2006; Brisbane, Australia - November, 2009; Gold Coast, Australia - January, 2014, Gold Coast, Australia - November 20240

Well........ what can I say that already hasn't been said on this thread- except to mirror Ben harper in saying that they are truly 'the greatest band in the world'!!
I had an absolute blast at the concert, great set list, great people (for the most part) and all in all a fantastic evening.........even ended up with Jeff's pick which was a real bonus!! Hit my friend just above the eye (apparently she wasn't watching (??) and reached up to see what had hit her to find it was the pick and promptly shoved it in my hand whilst the scuffle unfolded behind us!!) What a night.........although we did hobble out of there like two old women.....!!
I've been on my PJ 'high' for about a month now......And just when I thought I was starting to descend, my Boot arrives -today!! What a Christmas Eve!! Eddie and the boys will certainly be serenading us as we partake in a few 'vinos' tonight, prior to the fat man in red arriving!!.....and probably as we travel to our Xmas feasts tomorrow........great to be able to re-live such an awesome night.
Merry 'Riffmas' everyone, and to all a good night!!0 -
Was anyone else dissappointed with the 'gold' seats at QSAC? I was way back and no-one in my section even stood up- come on, Eddie walks on stage and if you aren't standing and screaming there's gotta be something wrong with you. He's Eddie -what more can I say? Wish I would have taken my chances on the field. It was unbelieveable to be up the front in 06 and it got me hooked- really needed the whole PJ experience again. Three years is along time between shows. Hope they'll be back soon with entire reserved seating. Living and breathing their music til thenit's an inside job today...just breathe
Brisbane 06 (4th row...blew my mind), Brisbane 09 (stadium seating sucks), Brisbane Ed solo 2011 (2 shows...awesome!)0 -
welcome .... but :? if you were up front for the 06 shows why didnt you just use your 10c tkt to go back on the ground with early entry??impatience is a gift ........0

I only just joined 10c today. I got my 06 ticket through ticketek- luck and determination. We could have gotten GA fixer field but we thought GA would get a bit out of control -just a couple of girls. My point was just that i didn't realise 'gold' would still be so far back. Had never been to QSAC. It was just so unbelieveably AMAZING at the entertainment centre with close up reserved seats- only realise now how special it really was. Can't wait for my 09 bootleg :Pit's an inside job today...just breathe
