I guess I wasn't the only one dancing in my living room--I don't think my neighbors are happy. Oh well, my favorite band was on TV, what else would I do. The show was amazing!!! feel bad for all of the people that are not going to see ACL because there are is not carrying PJ for one reason or another.

I was going to record it but couldn't find an HD version - anybody know where it was broadcast in HD? (so no I haven't seen it yet)

For me the show started with Unthought known which was the only song from Backspacer that sounded good. Mike seemed out of his usual touch of genius before that. Real shame that Stone's guitar was kept so quiet during the whole show... All the non-Backspacer stuff afterwards was ok. The jam session in Porch was great. Reminded me of MTV unplugged - that was one hell of a TV show - a different league compared to ACL, I must say..

Would have sounded better if he'd gotten the lyrics correct.

Songs not shown, but are on the audio:

    Walking The Cow
    Driven To Tears
    Got Some
    Life Wasted Reprise / Betterman
    Gonna See My Friend
    Crazy Mary

Good setlist and it flowed well. I thought the sound mix was lacking but wasn't awful. They rocked the small house. Ed needs to cut back on the cigs or maybe his pipes weren't in top shape that night for some other reason. He was really straining his voice. Some of the new songs seem to be the hardest to deliver, especially The End. Overall a very good show and a great tribute to the veterans too.
makes much more sense, to live in the present tense

i already watched it twice :)

  • Looking at and hearing Eddie was hurtful.
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
  • I was quite impressed how the first three songs(Just Breathe/The End/Jonny Guitars) sounded live. I've been kind of on the fence about Jonny Guitars, but it sounded good live. I went to both Chicago shows, we only heard The Fixer/Got Some/ and Supersonic, so it was nice to hear some of the BS songs live. And yes Eds voice did sound a bit straind, but overall a good job.

I loved the show. The highlight for me was Red Mosquito with Ben Harper. I wish I could play the slide guitar like Ben can! I agree Ed needs to cut back on the smoking.
It's nice to be nice to the nice.

highlights for me were inside job and porch. the sound was a bit off but, since pj has not played anywhere near me in 3 1/2 years this pbs airing was great! i think matt and mike are on fire.
