  • That moment after lining up in the line all day, squeezing in at the front, sitting in the sun, watching the support acts rock, then watching the roadies set up the equipment, the moment, that spine tingling few seconds when the piano music starts to play.... and the curtain at the back divides...

the nerves tingle like nothing else!

By the way... what IS that piece of piano music they are using to open with this tour?? It is AWESOME

  • singing: "I'll ride the wave Where it takes me" as a part of VERY BIG pile of backup singers for Eddie!

That song gave me the chills at the O2
Run away my son. See it all. Oh see the world.

The first time Ed starts to sing is always the best part for me. His voice is so powerful and just fills the room. It's not that I forget what it sounds like, but I still always get chills. Boots and youtubes don't do it justice. So that's my favorite part (and judging by the crowd's reaction I know I'm not the only one).

so true, you got to be there to really feel it

Recognizing a song from the first few notes being played, and the excitement of hearing a rarer number.

After being to so many shows - I think the best part of live shows are the people- not in general, but the people you meet in line or outside the venue - the people who are sharing there stories- The lady wearing her shirt that reads " My 100th Show",... sow her in SD. You just have the most amazing conversations with these folks- Some of those stories are incredible, no matter if it's someone who has just been to one show- they all have something interesting to tell. :D

I was going to say the same thing.

I love the "HEY!" participation from the crowd that they've been doing the past few years too, but I wish people would be patient and wait to start it up at the proper time.

That and the audience participation in "Do The Evolution." Very cool.
I suggest you step out on your porch...run away my son...see it all...oh see the world // I wait on the porch...hoping someday I'll be let in

i would have to say besides the whole show
The audience signing along and the band noticing what is going on and then having the audience singing along

i will never forget last year me and my brother went to MSG night 1 i believe, it was his first Pearl jam show ( he has been to a ton of concerts) and whatever song was playing the audience was participating and he was like " i have never seen anything like that before" and for me that is what it is all about :)

the beginning of the show is always cool and the end they also do something special
WOW. The last time I saw them, the crowd was singing along so loud that we couldn't even hear the band anymore. It was great. We just drowned them out. Eddie just quit singing and had his mic facing the crowd. The band kept playing, but no one could hear them. It lasted quite a while also.

I love their light show. I can get mesmarized by it.

I love the energy of the crowd. I am able to look around and grab some of it when I am there live.

Them there is the little special things, like Eddie doing a solo for "those who come early" and one time, he came out in an old man's clothes, with a wig and fake face mask. Almost no one realized it was Eddie. It was before the show started and things were still getting set up. He just walked out and putzed around.

I love when I am able to see part of back stage. I can watched them walk from the back BEFORE they take the stage. Lastly, I love being able to watch what I want, not only what someone with a camera chooses for me to watch. Like, what other band memebers are doing at any given time.

I have a bootleg of a show I went to and at one point it was quiet, so I yelled out, "we love you, Eddie". I can hear it on the boot.

The anticipation of what the first song will be is what gets my blood pumping. London 09 was the most excited i have ever been when they played Release as i had never had that as a opener. I had lost my voice a few days earlier but i didn't deter me from showing how excited i was. What will the be opener 5 months today, anyone?
