Whizencunt is a terrible choice. Makes sense for the Bills though as they have made an art form of sucking.
Russ Brandon is king tard over there. He was making decisions before, and they had a press conference to announce that he would be the decision maker? Im not buying their deflect/spin act any more. Then he goes on to say how everyone in this failure of an organization is "unmatched" in their abilities. Cock.
Then they will fail and just readjust the chairs again and again.
Looks like Whisenhunt is the odds on favorite. I'm about that.
why would you be happy with Whisenhunt?
For what he did as an offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh and what he did in Arizona. I'm telling you the only reason he's out in Arizona is because of Warner retiring and the Kolb situation.
thats the thing though. Warner is great. They also had the best WR in the game and possibly the best #2 and #3 WRs. They managed 9-7 and 10-6 in a terrible division. Take away Warner and the guy has an awful record. Gailey-like. Pittsburgh is all well and good, but many Coordinators from teams like Pitt & NE are disasters as HCs (Mularkey, Weis, Young guy who coached Denver, Crennell, Chan Gailey). Tomlin worked out, probably because he stayed with Pittsburgh.
They also studied his tendencies locally and he punts inside the 40 at a greater frequency than Gailey.
Im sure it would probably depend on the DC, but he ran the 3-4 in Arizona and the Bills would have to again re-vamp the defense in that case.
I personally am m0ar interested in Chip Kelly, Lovie Smith, or that McCoy from Denver. Not on the radar, but I would also want to interview Peterson from Boise State, Bo Pellini, and Les Miles.

Don't forget WHisenhut was seconds away from winning a super bowl.
:( :? :x :P     :!: :?:   GO BILLS! Really pulling for Teo in the Draft, only because of the lack of depth at QB in this years draft.

It will be interesting to see what direction they go once the new staff gets in.
a lot of that has to do with the terrible performance by the LBs and the fact that they need at least 1 more capable CB. Gilmour should improve too. He did very good as a rookie, but too many penalties. Wannstadt also refused to move out of a base defense/4 man rush until it was too late.
It looks like they are aiming for an offensive coach (Whisenhunt, McCoy, Kelly), but almost as important is who will be brought in as a DC.
Personally, I am rooting for Chip Kelly as HC. Teo may be available at #8. Maybe take Ogletree (ILB) from Georgia or trade down and take him. Then take DeAndre Hopkins in round 2, trade back into round 2 and take Tajh Boyd.
From what i've read and heard about him this is a really good hire for Buffalo. Ray Didinger thought the Eagles should have hired him. Saints background and made the Syracuse Qb a serious prospect.
His .500 winning percentage at SYRACUSE must have really impressed Bills ownership. Especially considering how the Bills have only finished above .500 once in the last 12 years.
The Syracuse program was in complete shambles when he took over. They were lower the U Buffalo. He has brought them into respectability and have won a few bowl games recently. They have a very good offense and 2 players should go high in the NFL draft.
They stumbled out of the gate this year and he changed from a high tempo pass offense to high tempo run and it worked. If it wasnt for the first couple games, Syracuse would have been in a BCS Bowl.
He isnt out of nowhere either. Apparently Cleveland interviewed him 2x.
Yeah that's a point in his favor. Couldn't even get hired by the Browns.
Look I'm only kidding around but it does seem like a strange choice with seasoned, Super Bowl-experienced coaches like Wisenhunt and Lovie out there. But I also hate college coaches and had never even heard of Chip Kelly until his name was mentioned on NFL Network yesterday...so I may be biased.
Let us take a look at the Bills' HC history post Wade Phillips' stint.
Gregg Williams:
17-31 in three seasons as Buffalo HC
No playoffs
Previous HC jobs in the NFL: None
In fact, his only head coaching position prior to Buffalo was at the high school level :fp:
Mike Mularkey
14-18 in two seasons as Buffalo HC
No Playoffs
Previous HC jobs in the NFL: None
Dick Jauron
24-33 in 3 1/2 seasons as Buffalo HC
No Playoffs
Previous HC jobs in the NFL: Chicago and Detroit (Interim)
Made playoffs once with Chicago
Chan Gailey
16-32 in three seasons as Buffalo HC
No playoffs
Previous NFL HC jobs: None
I hope I'm wrong. I hope someday I can look back on it and call my self an asshole for doubting Doug Marrone, but for now, this is another awful hire for Buffalo.
Marrone
No NFl HC experience
HC at Syracuse: Turned that program around, but I don't give a damn. It's Syracuse, it's the Big East, it's one of the worst conferences in the NCAA.
What was wrong with Lovie? A guy with two NFC championships and a Superbowl appearance. A defensive mind, which Buffalo Needs. Our offense is just a franchise quarterback away.

"i cant believe he got fired. 10-6 wtf. if he can coach the bills to a 10-6 record, i would xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
hate to say it, but it doesnt matter who coaches. so bad

He is coming from a team that was consistantly in playoff contention, he turned the Bears around and he can fix the Defense.
I'm not one to get excited about a new coach. All I care about it is wins. Whatever the case Chan is gone and that is nothing but good news.
Lovie is a badass D coach. However, Do not expect him to bring any offensive innovation to the team. He defers ALL the play calling to the O coach.
:?
Did I miss something?
Correct, unfortunately. I wonder how much say that DOUCHE BAG Buddy Nix had in Marrone's hiring. Lovie Smith was the guy for the job.
