Saw both Chicago shows and all I can say is that no matter how much I love PJ there is just no comparison at this point! It's not a put down and please don't respond about how it's different music, their just better at everything and that's why their the best band in the world not only in the studio but, also live!!
So you're saying RH is the best band on the planet?
Currently alive and together? I'd say yes.

In the studio they have no one that's remotely close and I think their catalog speaks for itself! Live they are able to tweak their songs through their immense musicianship and abilty to play all different kinds of music which, really keeps their songs fresh. Add in the best light show since Floyd and they really are in a class by themselves on stage. One last thing, Eddie will always be my favorite singer/frontman but, his voice and not just from his recent illness is just not what it was...listening to Thom on back to back nights I often just found myself closing my eyes and listening to him soar as if he was singing from the mountaintops, it really was transcendent still 25 years after the first time I saw them at the Riviera Theatre in 1993!!

I understand that PJ likes to focus on music rather than stage show.  But damn I wish they would incorporate video the way Radiohead does.  It adds more depth to the experience and lets you see the band members from anywhere in the arena...RH has a camera on every band member and most songs they will project their images on the screen at the same time....very cool.

But yeah....I haven't seen a better show than Radiohead in a long time.

This is why I would take the Tool live experience over PJ any day of the year. Despite not having released any new material in 12 years, Tool’s visual show is stunning, and really puts the live experience on a whole different level.

i don’t begrudge PJ keeping the live shows about the music, but it just doesn’t compare IMO.

After reading these last few comments, I’m impossibly even more excited for Radiohead’s Boston shows.

I just with PJ would get rid of the fucking dangling globes already. I would prefer a completely bare bones stage over those damned globes, lol.

If I happen to score good seats for tonight I'll have a pair of GA's to sell. Chances of this happening are slim, but you never know.
