  • Wish I could make it, but I got friends coming into town that night, and won't be in the Philly area. I definitely need to make it to one of your shows though! Have a good one.
Aw, c'mon, Jeff — you muffed a slam dunk. You should've said that you can't make it back to Philly because you're "gonna see your friend". You're better than that, man!

    Bump cause this sounds awesome.

    BTW...

I saw 5 Against 1 do an acoustic show last spring and it was a great, fun night. It defiantly helped me get my PJ fix.
I'm going to have to check that out the next time 5vs1 takes it down a notch.

I can't make it either, already going to another concert at the Note in WC. I like the Kyhber though been there a few times. Saw Eagles of Death Metal twice there, Burning Brides (philly/LA band a few times there) and a few other bands.

Best (and basically only) rock club in the city. The Brides used to tear that place up on a regular basis. Some great memories there. Fu Manchu, Soledad Brothers, The Datsuns, plus tons of local punk and metal, plus cheap PBR's.

Oh yeah that saw the Datsuns there a few days after Dimebag Darrell died. They put on a great live show. I know they opened up for the Pixies a few days before that and some didn't like them. I think they play better in a small venue. Also saw them at the TLA about a year before that. They also have some kick ass opening bands. The Ditbombs opened up for them at the TLA and my one buddy and i were hooked on them and at the Khyber a band called Bad Wizard opened up for them.

Thanks to both of you for enlivening this thread, and for educating this PJ fundamentalist on some seemingly cool bands. I'll have to check them out.

I want to go but I want to go with you.

I've had enough, said enough, felt enough. I'm fine, still in it.
