Listened to all three today and they sound absolutely amazing. The Byrds one is the original recording of "Eight Miles High" in mono and recorded at RCA studios in December 1965, but Columbia wouldn't release it because it wasn't recorded at a Columbian Records studios. It's the version the band wanted to release.
Led Zeppelin II needs no explanation, as we all know about that album. It sounds really good. The only "problem" I have with it is there is a gap between "Heartbreaker" and "Living Loving Maid" and also between "Moby Dick" and "Bring It On Home". Other than that, sounds really good. The guitar solo during "Whole Lotta Love" stands out and comes out at you.
The Velvet Underground one sounds great. It's a great album. Wish it was in mono, but I shouldn't complain because it's a limited edition color vinyl.

You can't listen while you're re- doing the living room?> or, Are you afraid you might scrach the vinyl while doing that?
I picked up a massive haul last week from one of the charity shops I go to - they have loads and loads of vinyl, but I had pretty much bought everything from them that I'd wanted. I went in last week, and it was obvious they'd had a whole new collection in - everything priced about £2 a piece. I got a lot of Clash, some Bob Marley, Neil Young Zuma, a load of 1980s Miles Davis albums, some Grateful Dead, some other stuff that I can't remember right now...... I'm still working through it - all in good condition. That was a fun afternoon, going through the racks!

no, I actually can't! I'm getting rid of the old carpet while the furnitures are still in the room and I have to move everything again and again PLUS I like to listen to a vinyl for the first time with time and quiet on hand, seated on my sofa, relaxed and peaceful. Not with a hurry-up-kick in my ass because there's still so much to do

Reissues of Talk Talk's Laughing Stock (never released on vinyl in North America before) and Mark Hollis' self-titled solo record.
In the last year I've been fleshing out my XTC collection. A re-issue of Black Sea (a record I'm surprised isn't more popular) is in the pipe for 2012 according to Andy Partridge. Who is awesome.
