How is it possible that someone who is as big a Steve Wynn fan as I am didn't have this until now?  Oh well, I do now.  A little bit dish-warped, a few more pops and crackles than I would like, and not every song is a winner, but lots of them are terrific.  Very happy to have this!

My wife just informed me she hates chameleon by Herbie.  I think this record is just too different for her.  She also doesn't like Jack Johnson by Miles.

Yea, Head Hunters is an acquired taste. I have an original CD pressing, that is probably as far as I will go for that record.

Oh, ouch!  Miles' Jack Johnson is such an awesome record!
Hancock is so good too!  He was freakin' great to see at Fillmore West in '70.  So cool and man, what a band!

Hey, I have had Is This It? in my TTL cart for about a week now. Need to check out at some point.

I just got my Room on Fire from VMP today, and I look forward to listening to that one later.

Nice to finally dedicate some time to these guys. I enjoyed their set at PJ20, but other than that, I didn’t pay them much mind back when they were at their peak. Everyone I knew had their music and I heard it all the time at work (Tower Records, then Virgin Megastore), so I just never acquired it for my own listening pleasure because I had heard it enough in the background for several years.

Pretty sure that I can’t stand the Dead, but I still almost bought this.

That's pretty funny.  I like the Dead but don't love them all the time.  And I almost bought it because it's so gorgeous.

I’m looking forward to listening through this over the week. Should have plenty of time this weekend with the below zero daytime highs we’re going to have here.

Got this nifty EP today- Redeyed in Austin.
Side one: Baseball Project with Scott McCaughy, Mike Mills, Steve Wynn, Linda Pitmon and Josh Cantor.
Side two: The Minus 5: same band members only with Mike Giblin on bass.  Very cool!

Have you ever listened to Pailhead?  It’s MacKaye w ministry.
  • Would be awesome if Side Trax was released on vinyl. All those Pailhead, 1000 Homo DJs, PTP and Acid Horse tunes.

I stumbled across the concert on YouTube and found out that a record had been made. I found one on Discogs for not much at all.
