What's wrong with the splatter version? I've listened to it twice now, sounds good to me.
It has distortion in the right channel on sides C and D. It's very pronounced right when the record starts, heavy during Let you down and really bad during the closing stanza of Proudest Monkey. I bought two copies and they were both afflicted. If you are listening loud, critical listening and have good equipment, you can pick it up. I would think with headphones it would be very bad. It's on the Amazon reviews too.

Cool. Thanks, I'll check it out tonight.

But is has been acknowledged in other reviews that not all copies are affected, which is strange.

You don't think it's a sensitivity of equipment difference?
I picked up the 180g black copy. The splatter looked cool but I think I chose wisely after reading some of the reviews.
I agree with you on the mic. I think they mic'd it to grab that sound. It's just been hidden by the compression and brought to light with this remastering. It's a revelation from my cd from the 90s. Much better than UTTAD.

Two really good albums there, are you in Australia goldrush? I have that You Am I record too, got it as part of a package with Hi-fi Way and Hourly Daily. Great band!
Nice. How's the sound? I'm thinking about buying this... although it doesn't see overly available or affordable even with the reissue, and it looks like it is only shipping out of the UK. Hoping the prices will drop on it once it's had more time to kind of disperse... though it's already been nearly 3 months.

Sounds really really good PJ_Soul, I'd be close to putting it in the 'amazing' category. I'd get it if I was you, might not stay available for too long..

Yeah I'm in Sydney. I love You Am I, Tim Rogers is such an underrated songwriter in my opinion. The dirty guitars on Forever and Easy alone are worth buying this for And Black Love is easily a top 5 record for me, it's perfect

I like how you've got the ninja turtles guarding your PJ vinyl. It's like saying "don't even think about it" should anyone plan on taking an LP off that shelf. New Dinosaur JR LP sounds great, can't wait for my signed LP to arrive.

There was another limited LP reissue in 2013... 500 released and all signed by Moby, sold only through Moby.com, lol. So not too much chance of getting that one unless you're looking to drop a whole lot of money.
